First solo trip! Hotel help

so, instead of dapper day I even decided to go in 2 weeks. Eek! DH is giving me a mental break from our disabled kids. I will still be exhausted from the traveling in the middle of the night.

Now, I don't know where to stay. My go to pre kids was bwppi. But it's $170 a night. For a motel. And we usually stay at HomeWood Suites convention. Concerned it's a little far while going alone with late park hours. Ideas anyone? Should I just book my usual?

I think I'd prefer interior corridor. I'm going to be pretty tired. I'm arriving at like 5 am. And heading straight to my room. So I'd prefer a little more quiet.

Spring Hill suites? Where should I look? Candy cane inn always sounds so dated.

Candy Cane Inn is wonderful. It's where I stayed for my solo trip back in April/May. I loved having the shuttle for the walks at night when I didn't feel like walking, they have AP or AAA discounts, free parking, free breakfast, great service, etc. I strongly recommend it.

Tropicana is my go-to solo place on a budget. Usually under $150/night. Or, look on the app Hotel Tonight for a last-minute deal. Really, any hotel on Harbor is going to be safe. I've stayed as far away as Super 8 at Katella and felt fine with it.

I was blessed that my best friend would watch her for my quick weekend trips to allow a few minutes to myself. Of course, I never stopped thinking about her, but it was still nice to have some me time!

Finding a place really close at this late date is most likely going to cost more than you'd like.

For a solo trip I like a place right at the crosswalk. Also for a solo trip I prefer open corridors. I feel if I should have a problem, I would be heard calling for help.

Have you price a room at the Tropicana or Desert Inn & Suites?

What are your dates?
When I checked the Tropicana, it showed availability for all nights but the 6th of October.
That's most likely due to Gay Days that weekend.

Yes. iTS Available. It's the same price as bwppi and I'd rather stay there since I have before.

I also have a post on better bidding. To getvthwor help identifying a hotel. I think it's the Hilton and I'd be comfortable with that walk. $85/night plus fees.

We like to stay at the Anaheim Budget Inn on Ball Rd. Its close enough you just walk through the employee parking lot (manned by security) to the Mickey and Friends parking lot and take the tram. The rooms are clean and super reasonable. (89.99 a night) Plus there is a gas station right across the street for drinks and snacks.

If interior corridors are a high priority then I would grab Hilton if you can get a good price. I have also seen super cheap prices for Red Lion, which is near the Toy Story parking lot. I go solo a lot and have stayed at Tropicana, Del Sol, Hojo, Stovall's, Anabella, Hilton and Hyatt Place. HP also has interior corridors and is on the corner of Harbor and Katella. I didn't like the walk back at night though, to be honest. At the Hilton I walked in the morning and took a cab back at night.

Have you thought about the Anaheim Majestic Gardens hotel? A little farther but they have their own free shuttle and they often have last minute deals. I would price them out.

My first solo trip I was staying a half hour away by car. Its pretty easy to drive in in the morning when all you have to do is get yourself out the door. THis allowed me to stay at a much nicer hotel for considerably less money. And I felt considerably safer with the control of my own car and a full service hotel than I do when walking from a harbor motel, even with others. You might want to consider this or even staying within uber distance.

I'd second Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel. You can get really good deals with them with Cheaptickets or Orbitz using their discount codes and the hotel has interior corridors and the shuttle is very easy and frequent.
