"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

I :lovestruc fried okra -- can't get enough of the stuff!

Collard greens = :crazy2: in my book!

Pecan pie = :cloud9:
First time poster here coming out of lurkdom - great trippie, can't wait to read more.

As for the collard greens, you just never had them made the way my Mamaw made them (yes, I'm from Texas - my other grandmother was called Nana). Nothing beats a great meal of:
Fresh caught fried fish - straight from the fryer
Collard greens
black eyed peas
some nice big juicy - fresh from the garden - cantaloupe
and a glass of good ole Sweet Tea to wash it all down

Made you want to say Yee-Haw! :rotfl:

Are collard greens dandelion leaves?

Collards, also called collard greens, are vegetables that are members of the cabbage family. Because of this, they have a taste that is similar to cabbage and kale. Although collards are related to cabbage, they are also closely associated with the following vegetable types: broccoli, Brussels sprouts and cauliflower. Collards are grown in the southern United States, for example, in Mississippi, and in Europe. An example of a European country that uses collards quite often in their cooking is Portugal. Popular uses for collards throughout the world are to steam, boil, and microwave the vegetable or, to add it to soups and stews. While you can also add collards to cold salads, the collards should be cooked first prior to using them in a salad.

Welcome! I found it funny at Disney World they kept "warning" us that the tea wasn't sweetened. Being from the northwest we didn't expect sweet tea.

Thanks for the collard greens lesson. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to try them.

Glad you had a great time at the Coral Reef. It's too bad the mac & cheese wasn't good. How do you mess that up? :confused3 I guess they cook like me :rotfl2:

The creme brulee looks so good.

And so sweet of you to arrange a diver for your husband's birthday.

I agree with you about Disney and the extra magic touches. That's what keeps me going back :thumbsup2

"Do I still have to sleep in the cupboard?" - Beauty and the Beast

After dinner we were all exhausted. Adam could barely stay awake at the table.

So we decided to not walk back over to Test Track and use our Fast Passes. It was agreed upon that we should return to CSR and to to bed.

We slowly walked out of Epcot, there is just something so special about being in a Disney park after dark, the air seems to sparkle a bit. After exiting we got a little lost. We found ourselves on a grassy hill by a loading un loading area. :confused3 We walked towards what looked like the resort bus loading area. It was obvious we were not where we were suppose to be, but I'm still not sure how we got there. We ended up at the bus loading gates farthest from Epcot. Since our resort wasn't listed we had to turn around. We could then see the other gates across the way. Making our way back over to where we should have been in the first place we did find the sign that told us what gate to be at. Our bus arrived shortly after that and we were once again the only ones on it. When we reach Coronado we had to wake the kids up to walk to the rooms.

Once back in our room we found the message light flashing on our phone. It was a friendly reminder about Daylights Savings Time. Oh that's right, we just lost 3 hours traveling across the country, now we were losing one more. That confirmed our decision to sleep in a bit and not try to make rope drop the next morning at Animal Kingdom.

That was a very difficult decision for a trying to reform touring commando like myself to accept. The kids burshed their teeth, got jammies on and crashed in their bed. I set the automatic wake up call on the phone in our room for 8am. I wondered if we'd get Mickey and Stitch or not as I dropped off to sleep.

How did you handle that? Is there a special group that we need to join if we are trying to become reformed :lmao: DH just informed me this morning we will be relaxing this trip - :scared1: I thought that's what we did before...we've never made a rope drop and usually get there about a half hour after opening...is that what relaxing is? :rotfl2:

It's so hard to let go of what you thought was going to happen! I agree, we need a support group for the overplanners!

I just read through your entire report and am loving it! I am looking forward to the next installment! popcorn::

sleep sounds like the best thing for all of you.

Jet lag does it everytime.

That was when I started wondering if the red eye had really been a good idea? I still haven't decided about that yet.

I think the Dis is my support group. At least I know I'm not the only crazy Disney Commando Planner. :dance3:

Thank you. Next installment coming tonight or early tomorrow morning.

Definetly! ;)

Didn't you love how the automated voice wished you magical dreams when you called to set up your wake-up call?

Can't wait to find out who woke you up and how you liked Animal Kingdom! popcorn::

Jet lag stinks! Sometimes you just have to sleep in.

And I'm still in shock about the mac & cheese! That's a basic dish. But this is coming from someone who "cooked" Chinese take out for dinner tonight :rolleyes1
