What is the first ride (or 2 or 3) that you hit after entering each park?

(I'm trying to plot some strategies)

Well if you are referring to wait times this is what I would suggest:

Animal Kingdom: Expedition Everest
Magic Kingdom: Splash Mountain or Space Mountain [Your Choice.]
Disney Studios: Grab a Fastpass for Rockin' and Get in line at Tower.
Epcot: Soarin'

At MK, we usually head to Tomorowland first, get a fastpass for Space Mtn then go on the People Mover.
At AK, we go on Kali River Rapids first cuz the line is never usually that bad. Plus, then we'll have the rest of the hot day to dry off.
At MGM, we always go get a fastpass to RnR and then get on ToT cuz that line is never usually too bad either.
and at Epcot, Spaceship Earth is always the first stop!

Almost two totally different perspectives.

We tend to do Spaceship Earth and the People Mover Mid-day as a resting stage. We also do Kali Mid-day to cool off.

:thumbsup2 ...that's a good way to look at it too! The only mid-day ritual I have to relax and cool off is to go to Tom Sawyer Island when I'm in MK...it's such a great breather!

I never did that. Perhaps I will go to Tom Sawyer Island when I return to the World. Thanks for the suggestion - it would be something different. :wave2:

We always go during off season so our plan is not necessarily necessary. BUT we always get there before the parks open.

AK-I the past, KS has always been first because we like to see the animals when they are most active. This year........probably still KS, followed by a mad dash to the EE fastpass machine
MK-Space Mountian!!!!!!! My favorite ride!!!!!!!!
MGM-the fastpass machine to either ToT or RnR is visited first. Then, we ride the opposite ride before using our fastpasses
Epcot-In the past, we have run to TT first. Now that there are new e-ticket attractions in FW, we are probably going to have to modify this procedure. We will probably get a fastpast to TT, MS, or Soarin, then run to one of these other attractions.

Like I said, we go during off season so if our plan gets foiled, it's no big deal getting a fastpass later.

AK: EE, KS
MK: SM, SpM
Epcot: M:S, TT (thought I don't care for this ride, it's still popular), Sourin
MGM: RnRc, ToT

AK: Head to the Safari, grab a FastPass then book it to EE
MK: Get FP for Space Mountain and then ride Space Mountain
MGM: Get FP for RnR, ride ToT
Epcot: Get FP for Soarin' and ride Soarin'

MK: head over to Frontierland and get FP for BTMRR. Ride Splash. If it is early enough we can get another ride on Splash and then hit BTMRR.

Epcot: Not sure how we will do this next time since Soarin' was only in preview on our last trip but will probably head to Soarin and get FP (possible ride is the line is still short) and get FP to TT as soon as possible. We always wait until later in the day for SSE since the line for this is ridiculous in the morning and almost non existent later in the afternoon.

AK: Head to EE for FP. Dinosaur we do later in the day as this is another line that is usually non existent at the end of the day.

Studios: FP for RNR and ride ToT.

As a side note: Our last ride for the trip will usually be SSE followed by a loop on the monorail.

I have to admit the rides we hit go by our list of faves..lol
MK-POTC (cant wait!) Splash, BTMR, Space
EP-TT, Soarin, MS
AK-Kali, Safari, Dinosaur (im thinking EE may be our first stop really, this will be our first time experiencing it too)
MGM-Tot, RNR,GMR

MK - Peter Pan
AK - KS
Epcot - Soarin'
MGM - Who knows, we have no real interest in going there but DD8 is dying to see the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground

Dunno if you've got little ones, but if you do, there is a single, objective answer for the MK:

Dumbo.

Dum. Bo.

This guy: :dumbo:

Repeat after me: Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmboooooooooooooooo.

Dumbo has 12 elephants that fly for 90 seconds. If it's busy, there's still 12 elephants that fly for 90 seconds. They can't speed it up, they can't add more elephants, they can't open a second side, they can't blindfold kids and spin them in the air and tell them they were on the ride. :rotfl:

Get there at rope drop and you will be on the first or second ride, no problem. For every minute later than that, your wait will increase exponentially.

And there is no shade, nowhere to sit, nothing cool to see in the queue. There is Florida sun and there are toddlers who want to ride Dumbo NOW! NOW! NOW!

If there is no one under eight in your party, kindly ignore this post and accept my apology for wasting your time. But if there is . . . .

DUMBO!

MK- Dumbo....it's a tradition, it was the first ride my daughter rode during our first visit....she's now 15 and it is still the first ride we do

MGM- TOT... my DH and DD ride while I get fast passes for RNR....I don't ride TOT or RNR

AK... in the past it has always been KS... but now that EE is open I think it will DH and DD on EE while I get fast passes for KS....we didn't get to visit WDW this summer so I'm not sure which one we will do first

EPCOT- Soarin

These are the attractions we go to first when the park opens, if we are hopping to a park later in the day then it's a whole different ballgame.

I also hit the big rides first thing and then take my time with the kids for their favorite rides in each park...

MGM... RnR and then TOT get a fastpass for one and wait in line for the other, then The great movie ride with kids
MK... Big Thunder, Splash... and then with kids Philarmagic and Peter Pan
AK... Did not do Expedition yet, will have to do that one on next trip.. and then Dinosaur with kids
Epcot... Soarin and then Spaceship Earth with kids

MK - head straight to Dumbo and then to the race cars. It's been nothing but
Dumbo and race cars from ds since we made our ressies so we'll go
ahead and get those lines over first.

AK - Probably EE since I can't wait to ride that.

EPCOT - If I have my say Test Track, but dh will probably want to get to
Mission Space. He's all excited about trying it.

MGM - RnRC!! then dh will head to TOT
