Four days after getting home from our Spring Break trip to WDW my 15 year old came down with the flu
It was the same day that most of the kids from that Queens High School got sick and he had all the same symptoms
Didn't even hear of the swine flu until the weekend but I called the Dr.who said as long as he was getting better to not worry about it. We all started taking airborne the first day and so far so good for us.
I told the Dr. that we had flown and were in WDW the last few days but he did not seem concerned about Swine Flu. I would of thought they would have tested as this is in New York State. I was relieved in a way as I hated the thought of quarantine and worst for the area and school.
This is how people over react. I did. I imagine he just got a bug, is better and that is it thank God!
We have since then followed the rules, washed hands, took vitamins, didn't touch our hands to our face and we are fine and we live in the same household.
I had traveled to Toronto just after the Sars scare. That city and its economy was devasted that fall. This is starting to remind me of the hallway runs during the air raid drills when I was in Kindergarden. I understand it is serious, but we are prepared to battle this. I do not think it is the end of the world. The US is much better prepared to handle than Mexico is.
Go to Disney, be careful, use common sense and enjoy your time there.
