First Premier Passport Holders at WDW!

My wife and I were at WDW on March 12th and we were the first people to buy the new Premier Passport at the Magic Kingdom! We're already AP holders at WDW and DL, so the new Premier Passport made a lot of sense for us. We get lots of great discounts with it too. My only complaint is the lack of a DVC discount.

The CM's were so excited to give it to us and the manager took our photos. Here's Lil and I just after getting the Passport.

Congratulations! I'm have a DL Premier Annual Pass that expires in June. I plan to purchase a Premier Pass since we're going to WDW before and after the Podcast 2.0 Cruise. I'm trying to figure out when is the best time to get the Premier Pass. Should I renew my DL AP then upgrade it when I get to WDW? Would my Premier Pass expire on the date of my DL AP or would my Premier Pass last for a full year?

Congratulations! I received my Premiere Pass voucher in the mail because I am an AP holder in both Florida and California. I made sure to redeem the voucher on what would have been a blockout day with my old Disneyland Deluxe pass, just because I could!

What we were told about the expiration date is that the passes are good for one year from date of purchase. Our DL AP's were due to expire in October, but with the Premier Pass, that expiration date has changed until next March! Yeay!
They applied the value of what we had left on our DL AP's to the Premier Pass, so go ahead and get your DL AP now and then get the Premier Pass later.

I am also really disappointed with the lack of a discount for DVC Members. We were thinking of getting one for next year because we have two trips to WDW as well as a trip to DLR coming up in 2011 but will only be going to DLR for 3 days or so. We thought maybe we could use our 'Give a Day Get a Day' vouchers towards the Premier pass and get a DVC discount as well which would have made them a lot more affordable. Plus DH has the 'shiny ball syndrome' when it comes to the Premier Pass...a cool collector's item. LOL I guess we'll see what happens.

About six years ago my husband and I were the first people to ever buy tickets to WDW at our local Disney Store. Clearly not as exciting, but it was pretty funny because they had no idea how to ring it up and then they were asking us all about WDW.
