Hi! I'm Caitlin, and I'll be lurking around here until I visit Orlando in December. I'm vegan, and my boyfriend is a vegetarian.

We'll be staying at the Hard Rock Hotel for about 5 days. All access Disney, and two (or three??) days of Universal/Islands of Adventure.

SO excited for Harry Potter :)

What's the difference between a vegan and a vegetarian?

Vegans and Vegetarians do not eat meat or food products made with animals (meat stocks, gelatin... etc.), but vegans DO NOT eat eggs or dairy. Vegetarians may eat eggs and dairy, but they may not.

There's a fine line between "strict" vegetarians (that don't eat eggs or dairy) and vegans that many people dispute.

Many vegans also do not eat insect products like honey and carmine, use sugar processed with bone char... etc. Some do. Many vegans also do not buy household products that test on animals (and vegetarians may or may not, also). Some do. There are also things like vitamin d, datem, and other things added into foods in small amounts that people choose to eat or not eat.

It's all comes down to whether it's the label or the effort that means the most to someone. To me, it's all good!

Thanks guys!
