first post-tc classic villas

Hello all, I am brand new to this forum so please be gentle
We are booked with thomas cook in a 3 bedromed classic villa to be allocated on arrival.
I was wondering if anyone has any experience of this kind of villa and what we might expect? is it worth spending on pool heating to?

Our only one other orlando experience was in a three bedroomed villa on the highgrove estate

A warm welcome to the DIS. First of all, I am useless with villa info (onsite junkie ) but all the wise advisors will be here shortly to help you out. In the meantime, I just wanted to say it's great to have you join us and will be even better if you stick around.

I have been given so much help on here and know things I would never have found out had it not been for all the helpful people on the DIS.

Is this your first trip? Who all is going with you. I should have warned you - some of us are quite nosey.

thank you for the warm welcome. We have been to florida and disneyland just once before, before our daughter ruby was born. This time my wife and I and my wifes parents are taking our little girl (currently 18months old) to see mickey mouse.

We have booked a seven seater to get around in - we figured we'd need that to fit us and all our luggage!

I can't say I have had any experience with Thomas Cook villas as we always do DIY. Did they give you any idea as to what location it may be in?
Pool heating will mainly depend on the time of year you are going. Anywhere up to June and after Spetember and I would thoroughly recommend it. If the pool has a jaccuzzi though you may want to consider getting the heating regardless of what time you go. There's nothing worse than chilling after a full on day in the park, with a bottle of wine and a soak in a jaccuzzi filled with chilly water.

oops forgot to say when we're going, we are booked for june this year, woohoo not long only booked it yesterday.
four peeps and a child flying virgin atlantic, a 7 seater car and a 3 bed villa for a fortnight for £3300 seemed like a good deal?

location is kissimee, haines or clermont. pot luck when we get there

we always stay in villas, not sure where the tc villas will be but im guessing it could be on highway 27, might be worth asking tc if they are in this area

Hi all - I am also new here, just booked flights and villa for mid July and can't wait!! Not been to Disney since 2004 and one of the group travelling with us has never been before! I am impressed with how much information I am getting from the forums!

Welcome to the Disboards , you will not need pool heating in June, I would say its needed from the end of october through to april the rest of the year is lovely and warm so your pool should be prefect . If you found that the pool was not to your liking you should be able to contact the villa managment and ask them to turn it on and then pay for this locally.

I also don't think you will need the pool heating in June, we usually have it from november - March ish, and some days it can be too warm if you keep the pool cover on then it will help the warmth to stay in the pool.

If your little one wants it warmer in the water, you can always just phone the management company and they will come out and do it for you, just bear on mind that it will take a couple of days to get warm!

You got a good price there too!
