First Pics of Miss Apple Blythe Alison Martin - the daughter of Gwyenth Paltrow

not so sure about that name, but Gwenyth and Chris look extremely happy! How wonderful for them!

Well, I'll say it: Apple is a dumb name!!! I am very happy for them, they looked so cute! I'm also pleased that she was 9+ lbs. A healthy weight for a Hollywood mom. I was also a little pleased to still see Gwyneth has a bit of a belly left over.

I'll say it too - Apple IS a stupid name, but that's show business.

I'm very happy they're happy though.:D

It's not a good name, but its a gorgeous baby, and they look so happy.

I can't help it, I'm an unabashed Gwyneth fan. I love the way she hoodwinked the obnoxious Access Hollywood-esque media with her surprise nuptials, and I love the way she meant it when she said after her father's death she wanted to do the important things in life. I also think its great that she left the vapid vacuum that is Hollywood for a more laid back existence in London.

I hope she, Chris and Apple are very happy together. I certainly think she did very, very well for herself.

The name is brutal, IMHO, but what a cute little family!

What a lovely photo and a beautiful family.

I actually think the name is adorable. You can have fun with 3 names like that! I would shorten it to:
Apple
Blythe
Alison.

Aba Martin.

How cute is that?!?!?!

Hey - the kid was 9lbs 11oz...she could have been named Watermelon! hehehe

But really - the name could be worse. Moonbeam? Dweezil? Rumour? I think Apple is pretty tame and too adorable.

For anyone wondering where they came up with Apple, I heard on Access Hollywood last night that Chris Martin's manager had named his daughter that (maybe it wasn't his manager, but someone associated with Chris Martin) and Gwyneth and Chris loved it so much they asked permission to name their daughter Apple as well.
