First part of December for us

Is the first week of December too cold for people that are from a tropical island ? I like to see the chrismas decorations but im afraid not be able to enjoy them because of the weather. The last year in november 8-18 we find some very colds days for us.

Early December is really hit or miss. We have been there twice and I loved the weather because it was not too hot. High temps were in the upper 70's or low 80's during the day. It did, however, get much cooler at night. The best part is all the Christmas decorations are up, you can go to MVMCP, and crowds are minimal.

That said, the day we left on our second trip, a cold front had come in and it was 40 when we woke up! It can get cold in early December but generally the days warm up. If you don't mind the chilly evenings you should be ok. Just we warned that it could it does occassionaly get very chilly.

We went last year the 2nd week of Dec. and only wore shorts I think twice and our last day was quite chilly - and we're from the Midwest! Unfortunately the weather at that time of the year is very, very unpredictable. I packed a little bit of everything because we had heard it can be as high as mid 70s and as low as 40s during the day. If you found mid November cold, you might find early December just a smidgen colder. Again though, its really hard to predict. We're going again this year - same time - and are hoping for the best!

I agree with the other posters, it's hit and miss. This past December we were there for the first 2 weeks. While it wasn't in the 40's, it still was cold (55-60) some days and just as cool at night. But then again some days were just shy of 80.

Then there is the year before last when it was unseasonably warm and in the 90s the whole time.

Plan for both and you'll be fine.
