First park for first time visitor?

Another vote for MK, even though Epcot was my favourite - the castle and Main street were what I imagined Disney to be!

I am actually going to go against the run of this thread, and suggest that if there are young children involved I would go to Epcot first.:)

A few years ago I read a recommendation that with children you should do epcot first as many (and I know its not all;)) children find it quite educational and not as exciting as the other parks. I remember not being too impressed with it either as a child (although granted at that time there was no soarin, test track, nemo etc etc!!:lmao:)

I would therefore do that first before the really exciting stuff at DHS and MK.

Having said all that - if I only had one day - it would be MK all the way, as that is by far and away my favourite park and IMHO nothing else compares:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Just to add the first time visitor is a 'kid at heart' :)

I had the opportunity to do this with my best friend this Jan. I took her to MK. To me this is where the magic is born. This park just has the feeling to it!!! Magic is born as soon as you step into the park and look down main street at all the shops and begin to head toward Cinderella's castle! I would never have done it any different. Disney's essence, feeling, ability to make all your worries disappear and be captivated by the magic is just so much more important then anything that any other lame theme park thrill rides like Six Flags can offer :) and I think all of that is rolled up into the MK... Just my opinion lol Story book disney comes to life for my here :)

Magic Kingdom all the way - ALWAYS what I'd do first! Last year we did MK with breakfast at the Crystal Palace with Tigger and Poo etc - that's exactly what's planned for this trip too!! Love all the parks but MK is my favourite by a long shot!!:lovestruc

I have to agree with MK - try and get an early ADR so that Main Street is empty when you walk down it :)

I look at crowd calenders - but most visits the first day is always MK.

We started with Epcot, going on the crowd predictions.

But we had been to Disneyland in California before that.

As a child the images that made me think of Disney were the tea cups and the dumbo ride. Tinkerbell with her wand by the castle on the start of every Disney movie.

I would say the Magic Kingdom if they have never been before UNLESS that happened to fall on a weekend as we don't like crowds too much and it ruins a little bit of the magic for us.
