I'm fairly new to scrapbooking and I was wondering, what do you guys normally do for the first page of your disney scrapbook? I have soooooo many pictures and ideas I can't decide where to start!!!! Thanks!

The ones that I have made ( all 2) I have started with the airport and things from the flight. For the one I am making for my DMIL ( we had a family gathering of 29) I am starting with all the emails in a collage from the two years of planning.

I usually have a title page with "Our WDW Vacation" and the dates or something along those lines. Then I usually use a picture of the whole family or a postcard - I like to get the foil postcards with the year on them whenever I'm down there because they make a good element for a title page .

I usually start and end my books with a picture of the four of us together, because there are usually only a couple of those. The last album I did I had a 5x7 of us with Mickey and titled "Reasons We Love DisneyWorld." I then listed alphabatized favorites of our family on strips down the side. I got the idea from someone here who is making a Reasons album and I loved the idea. It's one of my favorite "introduction" pages. Oh wait, I think I have it on the computer...

I've done several vacations in the same book. My first trip in my vacation book was a Niagara trip and I did a title page, which is very plain and was my first page ever. That book got too big and I just started my 2nd vacation book with my last trip. On the first page I did an 5x7 of us from Hoop De Doo and a welcome journal.

For each subsequent trip in the first book, I have a 2 page layout for the start page and I do put a main pic and some souvenirs and journal the basic info for the trip.

On my non-vacation books, I have yearly books. My son's birthday is in January so on those books I start with his "birthday photo", which is usually larger and then I lead into his birthday party.

So yes, in each book I have a title page of sorts.

In my recent search online for vacation type scrapbooking items, I came across the website scrapyourtrip.com They have recently added a message forum along with a gallery. When looking through the gallery I absolutely fell in love with one posters pages. Her screen name is Deester. I'm including the link to her gallery, make sure you check them out. I got quite a few ideas from her pages. She will make a page using the park's map as the first page of her pics, then another page with the next park's map and then coordinating pics, etc. The she also uses postcards, tickets, etc. I love the clean look of her pages. She will also incorporate the pictures you can buy when getting off of a ride and use the folder they came in on her pages. Here's the link.....check 'em out.

Thanks for all of the great ideas everyone!!! maslex, thanks for the great link to deester's album. I got some great ideas from her pages. I especially liked her waterpark pages. We usually take a camera with us to the waterparks, but we forgot to this time. :guilty: oh well, I will have to remember next time!
Thanks again, everyone!!! :teeth:

I did similar to other posters on my title page. I had a 5x7 picture (of our entire group) and a short journaling with things like who, where, and when.

I also put "Disneyland" in large cut out letters on the page. I also did glitter, pop dots and stickers to make it more elaborate than my pages typically are.
