I can totally understand why so many love this resort. The rooms are HUGE - the CM are so nice and the entire feel is very laid back and relaxed. To me it had a very similar feel as Vero - which I love.
We had a one bedroom on the ground floor in building 45. The view was of the canal and beautiful!
Check in - even though I did online check in was not without incident. We were not handed a parking pass for our car so I had to go back and request one. I stood there while it was printed then when handed to me - it had someone elses name on it. So I told the gentleman and he tried to pass it off as the other CM must have grabbed mine and I got the one she was printing. However I had been standing there watching the whole time and another pass was not printed. It was obvious he was covering his mistake which I thought was pretty crappy to blame it on someone else. Then he tried to print it again and it took forever. Finally he got me the right name on the pass and we went on our way. Didn't let it bother me - just lost a bit of respect for him trying to place blame for his mistake (which wasn't a big deal) on another (and that left a bad impression of him.. and only him).
We never swam in the main pool but it looked great. We did swim in the quiet pool in the southpoint road area. We did check out some DVD's and that experience was uneventful. We at at Olivia's three times and found it to be good/adequate. Nothing memorable - but it was fine.
All in all we had a really nice relaxing time and would go back in a heartbeat. While it has not replaced the VWL (our home resort) in our hearts - it is right up there at the top of our list.
