My mother and I are going to DLR in August for 4 days/3 nights. Our first and last days will be mostly spent traveling since we are coming from Boston. We will be arriving around 5 o'clock. We are staying at a good neighborhood hotel, but would love to do something that night. We are only getting 2 day park hopper passes so we cannot enter DL or DCA. Are there any suggestions for the first night?

If you go someplace like Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen or House of Blues, you can also enjoy music during dinner. Plus, you'll probably want to make it a relatively early night, so you can get a head start on DL/DCA the next morning.

:cool1:

No way, a fellow Bostonian (Stoughton actually) arriving the same day as me!! I can't really help you though since the 8th will be my first full theme park day. But if you forced my hand I'd say go to DTD and soak up some atmosphere and get fired up for your first day in the parks.

No way! That's too funny. My brother and his wife and son live in Stoughton. I'm actually in Stoneham. Have a blast in Disneyland! Are you a DVC member at the Boardwalk Villas?

another vote for dinner and shopping at DTD! Also explore the hotels.

Owners at BWV and WLV! Another fun (but dare I say not disney) thing to do would be to catch an Angels' game...of course now that I've checked the schedule I see that they are in Oakland. So much for that...

My mom has time share at BWV too! An Angels game would be perfect for me (seeing as how I am a baseball fanatic-HUGE Red Sox fan here). Unfortunately, my mom isn't as big into it and wouldn't go to a game. Oh well, they're in Oakland anyway...
