Landing at MCO @4:30 on a Sunday, staying at Pop. No checked luggage so guessing we’ll arrive via Mears Shuttle @6-6:30pm. Dinner suggestions? A cocktail would be welcome but want to not be out too late since my traveling companion insists on rope drop😳 Disney Springs? Somewhere on the Skyliner? What are our best chances for a walk-up? Thanks!

Are you looking for sit down or quick service? If it were me (and I have done this many times), I would take the Skyliner to the Riviera, eat quick service (or at the bar there), and then head back to Pop and hang at the pool bar for a bit. I always love to end my travel day with a Pina Colava at the Pop pool bar.

How many people, kids vs adults, quick service vs table service vs lounge?

For somewhere easy, DLuxe burger or Chicken Guy at Disney Springs, or the Riviera quick service

For somewhere decent that may have walk-up, Sebastian's Bistro or the bar at Wine Bar George.

For somewhere very nice, Flying Fish or Jaleo.

From Pop I’d definitely choose something off the skyliner. Yeah, there’s a slight chance to need uber as back-up. But that’s not likely, and even less likely both ways.

Skyliner would be like your first WDW ride! :) I dig that. Dining options include all of Boardwalk, BC/YC, Swolphin, Riviera.

We tend to make Disney Springs reservations on Open Table our first night so it is easy to pivot if we decide we are too tired. Although some are adding a cancelation fee now so be aware of the rules if you go that route.

I agree with Disney Springs and Open Table. I love The Boathouse and would recommend that. OR if it's one or 2 people you may be able to get a seat at the bar at Homecomin or Raglan Road.

If you don’t mind QS, I would just hop on the Skyliner and do QS at Riviera. There is also a pool bar there for cocktails. The food is good and there are lovely outdoor areas to sit. Less stressful than trying to get to a TS imho

Be aware that Boathouse has adopted a 24 hour cancellation $10 charge on Opentable. I don’t know if you can modify an hour or 2 previously.

You can get most of the QS at Bar Riva which is the pool bar down by the splash area. Nice indoor/outdoor bar.

Raglan Road is fun and good (their bread pudding = :cloud9: ). But there are tons of other great choices at DS as well. We also particularly enjoy Geyser Point at WL and the eateries at RR.

Thanks for all the replies! To clarify, this is for 2 adults, fine with TS OR QS but don’t want to make a reservation on a travel day.

As posted above, I would just go to Bar Riva at Riviera - good food and drinks, the Skyliner is a lot of fun and you could even ride the Skyliner over to the Boardwalk afterward, go for a walk, get more drinks (Abracadabar is kind of cool) and just enjoy the atmosphere. If you would rather do TS, you could just check availability once you get to your resort and see if there are any walk-ups available in the EP resort area.
