What are the crowds usually like for the first MVMCP of the season? I remember reading that the first MNSSHP is usually low crowd, but wondering if it is the same for the Christmas Party. Looking at possibly going to the party on Nov. 8th.

Touringplans ranks the first MVMCP (November 8th, 2015) as the 5th least crowded of the 21 MVMCPs this year, so it doesn't sound like it should be too bad at all. Their rankings are based on what they have seen historically.

I went to the first Christmas party last year and it was sold out. To be honest though, the crowds weren't too bad. Some of the character lines were a bit insane though but if you want to meet any of the big names, try and get in line before the party officially starts.

FWIW: The last 2 or 3 years (the years all run together after awhile - can't remember the 3 or 4 years before that) all of the MVMCP's prior to Thanksgiving week have been sellouts.

Oh wow, didn't realize that the parties might sellout. Any idea as to how long before it sold out? I haven't bought my tickets yet because my plans are not concrete, want to make sure everything else is booked first before I buy party tickets.

I went last year and I will be going this year to the first MVMCP and last year it sold out and this year it probably will too. A sell out is a sell out regardless of which party it is. I don't think that there is more capacity at later parties but I could be wrong.

Anyway.....the crowd I though was manageable I got a great spot for the parade and fireworks. I was first in line for the 7 dwarfs (got in line at 530 and sat on the fantasyland wall) I didn't care my DW and DD had FP+ for A&E then went on BTMRR and my that time it was 6:45 and they came right at 7 PM

We went on to meet Scrooge and Donald, Minnie, Santa Goofy, Peter Pan and Wendy, Genie and Aladdin, Jasmine and Abu, got all that done before Fireworks. After Fire works we headed over to Sandy Klaws and that was the longest line of the night got there about 10:30 and waited 45 minutes woke up my DD cause she wanted to meet him maybe as much as I did LOL snapped the pictures and left the park. It wasn't till we were back in the room when DW and I looked at each other and said.........."WE FORGOT SANTA CLAUS!!!!!!!!!!!!"

We went to the first party last year and I didn't think the crowds were overwhelming. We waited about 45 minutes each for Scrooge McDuck and the Dwarves. We went up by the train station about 10 minutes before the second parade and got a curb spot.

It may be busy this year because the 1st party is the same weekend as the Wine and Dine runDisney race. A lot of runners take an extra day off if they can and many will be at the 1st party because it is late so they can sleep in Sunday after the race and still get park time in.

Last year was busy just because of the Anna and Elsa portion of the parties. If you were there for rides you had no clue there was even a sold out crowd when a castle show was going on.

We are going November 10th, historically one of the least busy Christmas parties of the year. The 8th is apparently a bit busier, since it's the FIRST one of the year. Any chance you could do the 10th or 12th instead, just in case?
