Had a pool afternoon today as rain was due to hit early and we decided to delay Busch - Storm warning came at 1.30 and we headed back to pure room at RPR. Thought I would take advantage of the down time to do some washing.

Wash complete so loaded the dryer - headed back after 30 mins to check and opened the door to find a blue and orange crayon (I hasten to add these were not ours!) I had also cleaned the lint filter and checked the machine before adding our clothes. Needless to say all our clothes are now covered with blue and orange wax stains. Can cope with a few marks on the socks and undies - but the major damage is on all our Adidas sports wear DH & DS have their brand new Team GB tennis and football tops ruined, my tennis skirt/short is trashed and our swimwear is also stained - seems that rayon/stay cool material is worst affected.

I went down to concierge and literally broke down. I know it's not their fault and I was not cross with them I was just so upset and no idea what to do. Having been presented with tissues to wipe the tears - the hotel were amazing. All our clothes are on their way to an external professional cleaners and the hotel are doing all they can to fix it.

Once again, whilst not the hotels fault I cannot praise them enough for helping me - especially the young lad who dealt with this emotional women (me) having a breakdown!

Fingers crossed they can save our clothes x

glad they took pity on you and hopefully all will be well with your clothes...I must admit I did laugh at the thought of the poor lad and the emotional women! Like you all I would have checked would have been the filter..Good to see that there is also Universal Magic as well as Disney Magic

Oh dear Im so sorry to hear about your clothes!
I would also have been an emotional wreck if this had happened to me"although i may have sent Dh to the desk and hid behind him until i didnt get the outcome i wanted then i would step in "

I do hope that they get your clothes sorted and it is GREAT to hear about Universal being so fantastic! I wonder how the crayon got in their,Al i can think of is a child putting it on but then i thought machines lock when in use Let us know if it comes out!

And i hope everything else goes smoothly

Annoying little gremlins, maybe they were in the pocket of someone who used it before you or something.

It's good to get emotional sometimes, it gets us what we want

Glad RPR were good at helping to resolved a difficult situation.

I frequently closed the door to the wash rooms so that guests would have to use their room keys.

Just to update - the clothes are back and they have managed to save all but one item - thankfully DH's clothes were fixed.

The irony was on finding they clothes all hung up in the closet - we discovered that room service had thrown away my Son's universal bag on the chair that had the packaging from his 'build a despicable me' (imagine mr potato head but with a minion) - unfortunately whislt the main body was on the dresser the bag also had all the spare eyes, mouths, arms etc..

Spoke to the same manager who helped with the laundry - thanking her for her assistance, before asking about the bag mistaken for rubbish. Once again amazing service and they bought my son a replacement toy.
I really have nothing but praise for the customer service here - I even won a $20 cocktail at pool side bingo - this hotel but situated at Disney would be perfect!

Glad it all worked out so well - it happened to me too a few years back - but the culprit was my son, red wax crayon in his shorts pocket!! All over new white bras & knickers - lovely! Managed to rescue most of it too though, and he survived also

Glad it all got sorted for you... I would have been an emotional wreck too, this sort of thing sends me over the edge LOL

One time whilst staying at BCV I sent laundry out to be cleaned and pressed, one of my white linen trousers were scorched and I did my nut as they were a favourite pair, anyway I got on the phone and Disney refunded the cost of the whole cleaning which was near on $45 plus they creditted our room account $100 so I could go buy some new trousers... which of course I did
