First Meal at Disney?

Hey everyone...Our first meal has become a tradition. We check in, and get ready for ...CELEBRATE...CELEBRATE..
YOU GOT IT..

We like going to the Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge. Heck, we go there to pretend we are staying at the Wilderness Lodge on our day trips!

When my kids were little it was always Chef Mickey's On the first night!

Now it's beaches and Cream.

Liberty Tree Tavern

Its soooo sad.."Liberty Tree Tavern" was always ours as well, It was our daughters first meal on our first trip, but now that they no longer do characters, she no longer cares to go there. So no we go where ever, but Chef Mickey's continues the tradition, to be our last nights dinner still.

I never do the parks on my arrival day so my first meal is usually somewhere at DTD. The one restaurant I make sure to hit every trip is Boma and it works out that that will be my first meal on property when I fly down for the Wine & Dine half marathon.

We always check in and head straight to the MK so Liberty Tree is always a tradition the first day.

Chef Mickey's has always been our first meal also. Until this year. In November, we are eating at the T-Rex restaurant. It was not open when we were there 2 years ago, but we saw it and could not wait to go!

We usually check in and head straight to the parks. this year, we are going to check in and slow down a bit. We're staying at AKV, so we will walk around, enjoy seeing the animals, maybe hit the pool, then go to DTD. My kids love DisneyQuest as well as any of the other parks.

Our first meal was always the luau when the kids were little. It got us in the Disney mood!

When we don't do a park the first day our go-to spot is ESPN Club on the BoardWalk.

That was always our first night tradition too. Now my kids are older, and choose other places (no more character meals for them...not even remotely interested in them! ). When we go in Feb, we aren't doing the DDP, but my DS11 has asked for Le Cellier (and NOT a kids meal, Mom!)
