On Sunday this week we got lucky and ended up first in line for the Anna & Elsa M&G. This might not be a big deal for everyone, but for the parents of two 4 year old princess fanatics, it was to us. We did have a BOG breakfast reservation, and I've read that it helps people to get a jump start on stuff in fantasyland, especially 7DMT, but I still didn't think it would have been as easy to do as it was.
Our reservation was for 8:15, parked opened at 9 that day. We arrived at the ticket center about 7:20 via car and took the resort monorail to MK (only mode of transportation operating then) we got to the gates and through bag check and we had about 40-50 people already in line for early breakfast reservations waiting at the gates in front of us. We were all let in about 7:50, didn't seem to matter what time your reservations were for. Walked through the empty park, ended up being the second family in line at BOG for breakfast. Waited another 5 minutes in line, they did a brief opening show, and let everyone in to order and sit. We had preordered our food before so we were checked in, our "rose" was linked to our meals and let in to pick a table. One side note...it didn't seem to matter at all what time your reservation was for, as long as it was remotely close to 8, you were let in to eat. We picked a table, I went to get drinks and the food was being delivered when I got back! Amazingly fast service. We were done eating and looking around the restaurant by like 8:30 and went out into the park. There was no one outside BOG telling people they couldn't wander the park. We walked up to the A&E meet, there was a cast member there directing people around, we told him we we wanted to line up for the meet (which was roped off), he told us to wait by the two cast members in front of the carousel, told us about the RD procedure where they lead the crowd around it, and he basically told us to jump in front of the pack when it showed up. We went up to the two cast members there, told them what the other CM said, they looked confused and said ok. We chilled out by the sword in the stone, pretty much thinking we were gonna get lost in a huge crowd. Then about 5 minutes before RD, a CM manager came up and asked us why we were waiting there, we told her why, she told us to go wait by the fairytale hall entrance, in front of the CM there (the one who told us to go in front of the carousel). We walked over to him, he was confused as to why the boss told us to go there but whatever. About 10 Other people had gotten in line behind us by then and then as the rope drop crowd started to approach we were given to the go ahead to head in to the hall. My girls were thrilled to say the least, I was thrilled to not have to wait in line for 90 minutes, and we were in and out of there before 9am!
