First Grade Stocking Stuffers Help

My Ds first grade class needs each child to bring in 20 stocking stuffers instead of an exchange gift . It has to be a non food item . I really would like something other than the dollar store stuff that everyone always seams to bring in . You can only get so many pencils and erasers.

Party City (our store) has plastic slinkys in different shapes and rainbow colors. I want to say 12 are $5? You could do a lot of other things in the party favor section too. Often times it's a little cheaper than the dollar store and a little nicer also.

Also, check Michaels - they have a nice selection of things and have a stocking stuffer section. Other ideas here are small arts and crafts projects (typically $1.oo each)
