we requested first floor quiet pool view for food and wine in oct..did anyone encounter any problems being ground level ????,, we never stayed in these rooms before,,always standard view, top floor........we would love to get right behind the jacuzzi, end room,,,pirate: :3dglasses :happytv:

first floor quiet pool is the one view we always discuss wanting to get. We spend alot time at that pool and community hall. Maybe some day... Best wishes on your trip.

We had a first floor 2 bdrm facing the main pool at BWV. It was fine except that the trees blocked us having any real view of the pool at all. We don't spend much time in the room during the day but if you have little ones that nap it may be pretty noisy in the afternoons. People do walk right by your room so you end up having the curtins drawn a lot too. Overall I prefer the upper rooms.

When I was on the first floor, I had lizards in my room. Hard to get them out because those little feet are huge suction cups! :rotfl:

I would think a room close to the hot tub outside would tend to me noisy at night, especially later on at night.

 DW doesn't mind lizards, but get a spider in the room and... well... let's say it's not very becoming of a lady.

Yes we just had a 2br first floor for 4 nights in February. We were in 1128-1130 and it was wonderful! We were 2 rooms from the end of the building and I could walk out about 15 steps out the patio doors and be in the hot tub. We had an all adult vacation break and I have to tell you after eight stays at BWV this was my favorite location! The walkway behind us was great and peaceful, we could just enter right from the back and when we needed the busses we went out the side door and walked right across the main drive and we were there. To get to the boardwalk is a bit of a hike but you get pretty creative and explore areas of the BWV you never knew existed it really was great but then again anytime at the BWV is heaven to me! The nicest part was taking advantage of the quiet pool tables and chairs we actually had our private cocktail party every evening there ;) the best part was I never made a request and I now feel bad when I always requested a high floor close to the elevator boy was I missing out! I also did not hear a thing at night from the hot tub but then again a few cosmo martini's solved that issue...:thumbsup2

this will be our 7th year in a row going tothe food and wine fest.all four of our children are over 21 and my daughter in law too,,,so far the room on the first floor sounds awesome,,,thanks for the input everyone:3dglasses ..we hang out at the quiet pool a lot,its our fav. spot in the world,,take out from big river brewery,,late night drinks by the pool,,,room service right to your chair is awesome too..early morning swim,,,early evening drinks after dinner,,coffee and orlando sentinel,,,we make pina colada's in our room,,way cheaper than leaping horse,,,

Since we always get a standard room for October pool view is not an option for us. But we do always ask for ground floor because it's easier going to the parking lot. You would know it, in April we have a preferred view and this is the first time we don't have a standard view. With my luck I'll finally get that pool view.....BUT, the quiet pool will be getting refurbished during that time. I think I'll try for main pool view instead.
