Hello! I have never written a pre-trip report so bare with me! I haven't been to WDW since I was a teenager. My first and only time to MK was when I was 16 and to be honest with you I didn't like it. Don't get me wrong I always loved the movies but I just didn't enjoy myself. I think that it had something to do with hanging out with my parents but I was sad because I missed that "Disney experience." You know what experience I am talking about, the awe of seeing Mickey or watching Cinderella's castle change colors.
So now that I am a 28 year old mother of 2, we are going to WDW. I had to plead and beg my husband to go. He didn't want to, kept telling me that it would be waste of time since our kiddos are only 3 and 20 months. Me being ever persistant, I won and I booked our trip. I told DH that I know that our kids are little and they may not remember muchc about their frist trip, but I wanted this trip to be for us as parents. I want to watch DD's face light up when she meets Cinderella and see DS get so giddy over Mickey. I suppose that I want to relive my childhood thru my kids.
I should've gotten around to writing this sooner!
We are leaving this Fri Aug 22 and we will be flying out of Indy. Originally we were going to drive but we snagged some super cheap plane tix and here we are..flying instead of driving! We will be staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort for 5 nights. I had no idea how detailed you had to be to plan a trip to WDW...dinner reservations! Nuts! But a good friend of mine told us about DISboards and that I needed to call ASAP to get some good ADRS. Thank God for that! Sadly tho, we are going a week before them! Would've been so much fun if we could've planned it together! Ah well, maybe next time.
My DD is 3 and she thinks that she is a princess.
She's too funny, so her surprise is a trip to BBB and she will get to wear her Cinderella dress and then we are going to have dinner at Cinderalla's Royal Table. I am super excited about this becasue I have never been in a castle!
Altho, she thinks that Johnny Depp (Capt Jack) will be at Disney so she's looking forward to that too..like mother like daughter!
My husband and I just had our 5th Wedding anniversary yesterday so I've got a little something special planned for this, I will let you know how it turned out.
So if you do find yourself reading this, I will post more hopefully before we leave...but do keep your fingers crossed that TS Fay will get out of the way before we get there. I don't want to be super soaked for our whole vacation!
