Oh my gosh that's SO EXCITING AND MAGICAL!!! It's something we were aiming for on our trip, but go figure that was the week that welcome show wasn't happening, lol

How awesome-congrats!

I HATE that they don't do it like they they did back in the days of Toon Town where they would take the FOTD back TO Toon Town on a Main Street USA Vehicle and all the Characters would come out of the houses and they would spend time with the FOTD taking pictures,etc. and the FOTD would ride on the train with the Characters from Toon Town to Main Street USA for "Magic Kingdom Welcome"!

I don't know WHY they still don't do that-they stopped when Storybook Circus was built and now use a little "sleight of hand" to make it appear the FOTD rode in on the train.

Yep, they had us walk through the train once it arrived. The old way sounds super awesome, but we certainly cannot complain!

Did you also get lunch at the Plaza? Every time we eat lunch there, the Mayor comes in and recognizes (what I always thought I understood was) the family of the day who seems to always be there eating around noon.

Nope, that was never mentioned to us!

That is a "separate" "Magical Moment" where the Mayor of Main Street USA declares a lucky Guest at The Plaza to be "Mayor of the Day".

That is so super fun!

We got picked once to open the park at Disneyland Park. It was so fun. Not sure the kids really understood at the time how special it was but my husband and I sure did! Also, that same day, we had reservations to Ariel's Grotto in California Adventure for lunch and got picked to be the royal family there! We had no idea until the squire came out tooting his horn and announced us. Such and awesome, awesome day!!

Hint: Get the Photo Pass because the cast members take pictures of all the awesome things that happen, like these^ Especially since it's not always on the top of your mind to make sure you're getting a picture, you want to just live in the moment
