DH and I are exactly 51 weeks apart in age. I was born 1 week before his first birthday...I do tease him about the fact that he's older than me, but he reminds me that for one week every year, we are exactly the same age. :rotfl:

DH and I were just talking about this last night...I still wonder, to this day, how we even got together in high school! I was definitely the good girl. Didn't get into trouble...went to school everyday...didn't drink or smoke...nothing. And somehow I end up dating someone who, smoked, drank, and at the time that we met, had dropped out of high school! :scared1: He was such a "bad boy" that i'm still surprised that my parents let me out of the house with him!

He did go back to school that following Fall and even managed to graduate early!:thumbsup2

My mom was here yesterday, and I asked her WHY she let me date my DH again. I'm not sure I'd allow that with my DD (aren't I a hypocrite). She said that I told her that she just needed to trust me. And, I tell you what. I was a pretty trustworthy person, until I met DH. DO NOT trust your teenage DD to a young man who has been living on his own for five years, works in a bar, and says he only has your DD's best interests at heart. I never did drink much, never smoked or did drugs, but I stll managed to be doing things I shouldn't have.

Whew! Do you realize you guys went through 11 pages since yesterday alone? :upsidedow My word! ...I skimmed them and am presently wondering whether to be grateful for not having re-married or not! At this point, I'd be willing to stay in the closet and not talk back if it meant some extra help around the house, with the house, with the kids, with the car, with the snow on the driveway....:laundy:

The pictures of weapons remind me of when I was a 1980's young (read stupid) ROTC Lt 'in charge' of a bunch of Foreign Weapons Experts. They were all Vietnam Vets and had more time in the military than I had on Earth. I was basically along for the ride (and to do paperwork) as they provided OPFOR and training to troops around the country. I gotta say it was a blast! I drove Russian and other foreign tanks and fired all sorts of weapons. I went weeks without bumping into another female soldier and I was one of the first females allowed to attend Air Assault school as my position required it. I didn't graduate- no one expected me to- but I passed the obstacle course which is very upper body based (and numbingly terrifying) and fired Expert for the first time, so my guys were proud of me. I still tell my sons stories about it and they look at me like..yeah, right Mom!

I gotta tell you, at the end of those four years I was so in shape....I miss that body!:guilty: Where'd it go? Oh, yeah, 3 pregnancies and the disappearance of my willpower.

I actually logged on to ask if there's any place to get milk and drinks at 11:30PM Friday night May 8th between the airport and the Dolphin?

We are gonna forgo the pre-cruise breakfast in lieu of rope drop at Hollywood Studios. My kids can't wait to do Toy Story. And I can't deny them that since I plan on ignoring them for most of the cruise, lol. :goodvibes ...So cereal it is on Saturday morning before we head out.

Slightly off-topic but it is related to the cruise.

I am looking for a new camera. I want a small point and shoot. Small as in it fits in my purse (ok cruise related now). I have a Canon Powershot S3 IS which I love. But it is big and sometimes I don't feel like lugging it around, especially to dinner. So, any suggestions for a small P/S?

I have Canon S5 IS that I love and needed a new purse camera. I tried A small Nikkon and hated it. DH took it and gave me a Canon PowerShot A2000 IS for Christmas. I played comparing shots between the S5 and the A2000 - and was quite happy. And the controls are all similar so the learning curve is lower. I like small learning curves!

Thanks everyone for the input so far. I'll take a look and see what Canon has to offer. Also, I hope the memory cards are the same. I hate to buy new memory cards.

11 pages is not surprising - we tend to be a talkative bunch!! :rotfl:

I'm sure you have some stories to tell about your experiences. I love listening to my Grandfather tell stories about being in the Navy during WW2!!

There is a Goodings in Crossroads right across the street from the enterance on 535. However they are quite expensive. There is a Publix and a Walmart (?) further down the road.

BTW, breakfast is on Sunday before the cruise, not Saturday!!:)

And a Winn-Dixie. But I am not sure about Publix and Winn-Dixie's hours....

Ok - Jaime is chickening out of our stringray excursion on Castaway Cay - seems they freak her out :confused3 .

Here is the description:
Castaway Ray's Stingray Adventure
Head for the Stingray Hut for the experience of a lifetime! After a 15-minute orientation including many educational fun facts, Guests will be divided into groups and enter the shallow waters of the Stingray Lagoon. Your friendly guide will be on hand as you get up-close and personal during a feeding session using specially designed feeding trays. Feel the rush as the stingray takes the food right from the palm of your hand and even pet these amazing animals as they go up and down the feeding ramp.

Next, don some snorkel gear and head out further into the lagoon as you snorkel amongst the over 40 rays who call Castaway Cay home. After approximately 30 minutes of snorkel time, return to the beach with great memories and stories to tell of your Castaway Rays experience.

Does anyone else want to go?

I just found this:

So how much of a tip for an evening of ABBA? :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
But Mindy could counter our tips to keep them from playing ABBA!

But there are more of us who would want to hear ABBA, just to torment her...so she'd have to break the bank to keep them from playing our requests! :rotfl:

 :yay:

It's official!!! I just booked my cruise for February!!!!

In 32 days, I will be on a cruise headed for the
You lucky duck! :cool1:
Actually I'm a decent bowler, but I did horrible. I have my own ball with a fingertip grip and I can't throw a rental ball anymore. I think I had a 135 and a 120 something....
Last time we went bowling I bowled a 59. with bumpers. :cool2:

I bowl with three balls. Is that ok? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Acckkk!!! :scared: :crazy2:

Who has that mind's eye poking stick, and can I borrow it, please?
Pass the stick! Pass the stick! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Please ladies don't be alarmed. I keep my balls in a bag. :crowded:

TMI George!!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

If you think you might want to do it was can try to hook up.
We will not be touring Forts. :sad2:

John has stated on numerous occasions that some of the DIS planned activities on the boat will require large venues. The team will not be able to secure these areas at sea so they will need to wait until the boat is in port. So sounds like there is definately going to be something on one or both of the port days.

Personally being my first cruise and first DIS meet it is all about the people and the boat. I have a casino practically in my back yard and water park/slides? I need to get off the boat for a water park/slides? :p

I definately want to get off at CC and either walk or bike around and check out things there providing it doesn't cut into DIS time.
I agree George. We aren't planning anything until the team announces what they've got planned. :thumbsup2

The link is disabled at the moment. I'll definitely check into it though. I love stuff like that. I wouldn't think that would be a very crowded excursion. Sounds really nice. :thumbsup2

Alicia is always in the market for a faux Prada bag or something similar! :rotfl2: So....she is leaning toward getting off the ship in Nassau. I would like to at least see Atlantis, maybe take some photos. As you said George, a lot of our decisions will be based on what the Pod cast crew come up with. :goodvibes

I have to stop you right there!!!! I will NOT be buying knock off bags!!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: First Payless, now knock off bags.:sad1:

Official disclaimer: I, Launchpad11B, did not volunteer Cocowum to lead any faux bag hunting missions through the streets of Nassau!!! She's going to chase me with the snow shovel because of this!!! :faint: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We (that includes you Paul) will be taking DD14 off the ship to get her a knock off bag.

For all of you faux handbag ladies...how much do some of these usually cost? I'm not really an expensive purse purchaser, but I wouldn't mind it if I could find something nice for pretty cheap...

I don't really do shoes, but I am a purse girl. But I tend to buy one and use it until it falls apart...or I'm bored of it...and that's usually for quite a while. I don't change bags on a daily basis. Heck...I haven't changed back over to my purse since I got back from MF! I'm still using my Baggalini! :rotfl:
Don't know about in Nassau but in NYC they are about $30 - $40. :thumbsup2

I'm staying on the ship and working on my tan. :beach: Anyone care to join me?

That sounds like a great plan. :beach:

I know some die hards who would argue that they can spot the fakes. Hopefully I don't sound like a lady, but since my wife is a purse junkie, I've gotten pretty good at spotting the designers and which are fakes. They have gotten much better recently though. Usually the loud ones with the name plastered all over it are the fakes!
I can spot a knock off from a mile away. :sad2:

You totally sound like a girl. princess: Please turn in your Man Card. ::yes::

15 years for us, too, but we don't celebrate until June 18. Four more years, and I'll have been married half of my life.
May 25th for us. I was a baby when we were married. ;)

Alicia, meet me in NYC. We'll go shoe and purse shopping on 5th and Madison Aves and hit SOHO for good measure!

Wait, was that a thud I heard? Paul? Paul? Paul?
