First Ever DISUnplugged Podcast Cruise Six For Your Fix

A group of us get together and have our accountant do our taxes on the same day. We each bring a cooler, along with some finger food and have a party in the back office while one by one we get our stuff filed. Then the big winner buys dinner (although this year its lunch) for everyone.

Hmmm...that DOES sound like more fun than I originally thought. Hope you are a big winner today (but not the biggest winner so lunch won't be on you!)

Niagra Falls isn't that far from Toronto. And African Lion Safari is still open!!! WOWSER! I think I will need to plan a road trip.....

Last week of August, beginning of September. The August long weekend is Civic Holiday or Simcoe Day depending on where you are.

If you are headed to African Lion Safari, you need to stop by! It is really just up the road from me.

I finally got through catching up and have come to the conclusion that if I am going to try to keep up, I will have to log on more than twice a day to this thread! Good grief!! So, no Ann, Anne, Annie or otherwise in my family. There...I think that is a good summary of the last 15 pages.

so mom has to have surgery in march for her tumor. perhaps even two surgeries. hopefully we will know more details next week. but she should be all healed up for the cruise.

I feel your pain! When I was with my ex, I had the same circle of friends. We hung out every weekend and went dancing and just had fun all the time. Then I kind of blind-sided the whole lot of them when I left my now ex. No one saw it coming...I was keeping a lot of secrets at the time... I reunited with Matthew (high school sweetheart...complicated relationship) before my divorce was final and they all swore we'd still be friends for life. Well, we moved to Indy and have been here since 2001. The only folks that I have socialized with over the years has been co-workers and people I go to school with. No true friends...except DH of course! I'm thankful everyday for marrying my best friend...but it would be nice to have friends to hang out with too.

You guys are my social life. I've been lucky enough to meet a few of you already and I can truthfully say that you guys rock! This cruise is giving me the opportunity to meet more lifelong friends and i'm thankful each and every day!

After all..who knew that my BFF was that crazy gal who we all watched and waited while she was having little Evan?! You guys would be frightened with the similarities between us that we've uncovered thus far...

Since moving to Chicago 7+ years ago, I haven't had any "real" friends until meeting Shanan, so I can relate to having your best friend/partner being your only "real" friend.
This board has a great group of people I'm proud to call my "invisible" friends, however because of various meets and the upcoming cruise many of you are becoming visible

That's what I was going to do with my tax refund. Spend it for the cruise... then, my car broke down - stoooopid car with 157k miles on it . So I had to be a responsible adult, cancel the cruise, and start saving for a new car. Stoopid car, stoopid responsible adult...

OK, that news got out really fast. I was thinking that since I can't go on the cruise, maybe I could come down for this race the day before the cruise. See some of my friends, and record a segment for the show. We're still figuring out all the details, but I'm hopeful this could happen.

WE are going to miss you on the cruise!!!! I hope you can work out the details for the muddy buddy.

Hello everyone. Kinda quiet today. Just got home from nutjob grocery shopping. You might think there was a storm coming or something. Well there is. Suppose to start sometime late tonight into tomorrow and then another storm Monday am. We are expected to get well over a foot of snow.

Thank god there are only 71 days left until the cruise.

I've been to the Sea World out in CA. And the one that was in OH. And definitely the one in Orlando. I think I've been to MarineLand out side of Toronto as well. I know I have been to a couple of 'drive through' safari's in Ontario. They are probably long closed now.

African Lion Safari is still open, celebrating 40 yrs this year.

The animals have been known to rip off your side mirrors.

Convertibles are not allowed, nor are vehicles with cracked windshields.
