A very common Eastern Caribbean itinerary of St Thomas, St Martin and Coco Cay. We had to skip Coco Cay though because of Tropical Storm Hanna. This past November I took my mom on the Serenade of the Seas out of San Juan PR. We did Southern Caribbean, St Thomas, St Martin, Antigua, St Lucia and Barbados. We really enjoyed Antigua and Barbados.

So, Kim, you're a pro at this, huh?

I'm a rookie....this will be my first cruise. :yay:

I have been on 2 Royal Caribbean cruises and enjoyed both. I sailed on the Mariner of the Seas this past September, which is a sister ship of the Navigator. I thought the ship would feel too big but it didn't. There was lots to do on board, so they won't be bored. The service IMO was just as good as the service I received on DCL. I'm sure they will have an awesome time.

I encouraged them to go so I hope they have fun. I think I got a pretty good deal for them, and they already got upgraded to a junior suite. I figure that will be nice for 14 days. I am a little nervous about the dress up nights. I read on RCL site and it said there are 3 formal nights on the 14 day cruises. Ugh, that is a lot of formal nights.

No, not a pro YET. :lmao: More like an intermediate. This will be my 4th cruise. My first was only 18 months ago.

The only problem with taking your first cruise Susan is that you will have so much fun that you will want to immediately start planning your next one. This is a great choice as your first cruise. You will be with lots of friends and there are lots of people on this thread to help answer any questions or help if you have any concerns.

That is a lot of formal nights. I have a pair of black satin pants and a black satin skirt. I can match these up with any dressy top. I can even use them on more than one night. The only true formal night is Captain's night when they have the Captain's coctail party. This is the night when people go all out. This is the night when you will see some of the men in tuxes and some of the ladies in gowns. The other 2 formal nights will be a little less formal, more semi formal. And if they don't want to dress up on these nights, they can always head up to the Windjammer buffet.

They will love having the junior suite. With all those sea days on the transatlantic, it will be nice for them to have the extra cabin space.

We are very excited about it !! Hopefully this will be the first of many.....:goodvibes

I just checked it out. It's like Sweet Tooth on Pogo.com (if you're familiar with that games website). What I don't like about it though is you only have 1 minute to play. I kinda got bored with it. It's fun for awhile though. Then again, I got bored with FW too (in the beginning) and I can't stay away from it now.

Can you post a link to this please?

I think you guys will be hooked, Susan. People look at you funny when you tell them you're going on a Disney cruise as two adults without children, but it's WONDERFUL. There are so many adult areas and so much for adults to do.

If you like WDW (and I know you do), you'll like DCL.

Hmmm. Wonder where everyone is tonight?:confused3 Very quiet around here.

Ok...Silly joke time!

Why did the ketchup get embarrassed?

Sure, Kath. Here's the link to Pogo. Sweet Tooth 2 is under Puzzle Games. The main difference between this one and Bejeweled (at Facebook) is that you can go diagonally. This is usually what I play while I listen to the podcast and Bejeweled gets to me 'cause I always wanna make a diagonal match and, of course, I can't. Pogo is a great site to waste away your life at. :thumbsup2

:wave2: Susan!

I'm beat. I think I overdid it at the gym tonight. Not in agony, but I'm feeling it.
