I've been "crafting," making some extra Twilight-themed trinkets for our Twiguys/Twigirls Podcast Cruise Meet because our numbers keep growing! It's awesome. We're up to 17 people now, including two guys who aren't afraid to come and talk Twilight with us (yay Gibson and Todd)!

What's up with everybody else? I see that Brandie's hit happy hour and the Pixar cake challenge was on again. Anything else I need to know?

As for the lowball house offer, it's a "buyer's market" and everyone assumes that everyone selling is desperate to sell and that they're going to get some amazing steal. Sounds like you are NOT desperate to sell (beyond wanting to go on the podcast cruise), so stick to your guns. But at least counter! You never know. They may just be seeing how low you'll go.

Truly depends on the type of fondant used! Some of them taste really good! The kind I use tastes like tootsie rolls...yummmmmm

Besides...you can peel the fondant off if you don't like it anyway.

We were just up that way; in fact we just got home. We stopped in Old Navy to look for a few things for Anna. It was pretty busy and the weather was wonderful. It was a great night for a stroll!

The ADR is for 2:10. My flight leaves at 7:55, so I should have enough time to have tea and get back to the Dolphin for my town car to take me to the airport.

I would make a counter offer, the economy is only getting worse, usually the stock markets react first to what is going on in the world..im sure you know the dow is the lowest it has been since 1997 eventually all other markets (job, housing etc) will start to show signs next. The unemployment rate is the highest it has been in 25 years...In this day and age I would consider any offer you get on your home, from what I am reading home prices are projected to drop another 20 to 30% within the next year.

I think the offer you received is indicative of what is going on in the world right now...best of luck to you! I hope it works out

Leave yourself a little wiggle room in case they are serious. You will know immediately if they are when you receive their counter bid. If they only go up a couple of thousand then it is probably time to walk away. But you will have at least tried and never have to say "I wonder what would have happened"?

yum, cherry or lime tootsie rolls. I haven't tasted a fondant I like. Buttercream is where it is at. Of course I really only like the icing on cake- not a big cake fan. I know- the horror! (Jen!) I am more a pie/cookie/brownie fan. if the cake has lots of layers of icing, I am in though!
