Yesterday I asked a question about my cooler. I think it was mis-interpreted. My cooler is well within the guidelines for carry on baggage upheld by my airline. I was wondering about getting on the ship.

It should be fine as long as it goes through the scanner - and if I recall the port scanner is airport scanner size.

Those who are weak of stomach or don't deal with hearing about other's icky illness, disregard this post.
This is an update for anyone else who's been dealing with this little stomach bug thing :crazy2:  like me...

I just saw the nurse practitioner in the infirmary here at work. Here's the scoop:

It's a virus. It's really rampant. There are two versions:
1)The throwing up (and other things) all of the time and can't stop version
2)The so sick at your stomach you can't eat anything and want to die but you can't throw up version.

Both are apparently lasting sometimes over a week for people and...here's the kicker...it seems to be coming back a couple of weeks later (apparently frequently). It drains you. Wipes you out.

AND

THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NOTHING YOU CAN DO FOR IT EXCEPT EAT WHEN YOU CAN, DRINK FLUIDS IF YOU CAN KEEP THEM DOWN, GET LOTS OF REST, AND RIDE IT OUT.:headache:

If you do have this type of virus - DON"T GET DEHYRATED!!!!! I had something like this a few years ago and almost got put in the hospital - I am pretty stubborn and wouldn't let them but I probably should have let them admit me in hindsight.

Wow. We had a lull. Quite a lull. Ten whole minutes!

I guess Todd stunned us with his wit and charm. :smooth:

(Or I grossed everyone out and they had to leave.)

Thanks for the info Dodie. My 2 year old is on the second wave of the flu. She had it about 2 weeks ago and has it again now. She didn't have a fever last time, this time she has a high fever. Last April she was hospitalized for 5 days because of this same flu. My poor baby.
