Seriously though - I may want to pick your brain on this a little. Dnephew was diagnosed Type 1 this year - and is anticipating his first WDW trip in 2.5 years. No pump. I figure they will have a handle on it, but since I get to plan his trip...I will need to know what to sort out to make it easy for him.

I do the same thing with my own illness. Hard to admit you need help or medicine to live a normal life. Where my friend is concerned, I have had to say "drink the juice" more times than I can count. It's like Steel Magnolias all over again.

You are free to pick my brain as often as you like (but not my nose....hahaha). Everyone's different, so there is no one size fits all advice.

The Dunlaps have a good trip report/blog on the subject of Disney with diabetes here. Its kinda cute too. They have a pump kid, so I might be biased about it. And in 2.5 years, you don't know--he may have the pump. I had my first one four months after diagnosis.

I think you just have to complete the first few tasks, like a tutorial...then she will be on your posse page (i think)...and click the accept member or whatever and *poof* she's there, like your new bestest friend!!!

"Over The Air" meaning not cable or satellite. I'm pulling the signals out of the air with my own antenna. I'm currently using a Zenith Silver Sensor on top of our entertainment center. It's about the size of a small model airplane.

In the spring I'm going to mount a Winegard 7696P outdoor antenna and that will run three sets.

That's about it Lauren unless you really want me to geek it up.

I grew up watching my parents deal with my DB's Type 1 diabetes. He used to wake up in a hypoglycemic state, and the whole family used to have to practically sit on him to get him to drink his OJ. He was a strong, stubborn kid...he's now a strong, stubborn adult, and his wife has had to enlist her son on some mornings to get him to cooperate (the nephew is 6'6", weighs about 250, is a guardsman/cop).

Made us all very hypervigilant to the signs. You're going to have at least a dozen mothers on this trip, Toddles.
