I am a DVC member but I couldn't pass up the $99 rate at the Dolphin. I am staying 4 nights. One pre cruise and 3 post cruise. Three of which are weekend nights. It would have taken 100 DVC points to stay at the BC or BWV. I couldn't justify using that many points for 4 nights when the Dolphin was offering such a great rate.

Pros to staying at Dolphin:
Don't have to use DVC points
Good rate
Might already be renting car anyway
Trying something different
Near all the DISsers


Pros to staying at BC:
SAB - missed out in November when it was too cold
Don't have to rent car if I decide I don't want to
Don't really have a use for my points if I don't use them

Hmmm...well if you aren't going to use them, then why let them go to waste? You've spent good money on them, so that is a quandary.
Beach Club isn't too very far from the Dolphin, so you'd still be near us....
I guess the car thing is what it boils down to? Isn't there a per diem charge to park at the DolFUN?

We are using up our Dev pts so had to.
Now if they were not going to expire in Oct....Dolphin.

How long would it take to get a group of DIS'er through TSM if we had a meet planned for rope drop on a non-EMH morning at Hollywood Studios?

I read a long time ago when the TSM meet was announced that it handled about 115 people every 4 minutes.

I think it won't be too hard. I think people still have developer points. The developer points are only good at SSR.

Hence why I want to stay at SSR....
Using up Dev pts.
But adding a day from what we had planned due to airfare.
Transfer a few points to make up the difference for the extra night,
And dont give up that 1bdrm for a night in place of a studio and lose 12 points.

I swore I would never accept an app.

We'd love to, but can't as we'll be heading for our sunset safari at that time! Our safari starts at 4pm and they say that it lasts about 3 hours. So we'll have to meet up with you guys for DATW afterward!

We're facing the same weather pattern. It's 19 right now with a high of 28 today. Tomorrow is a lot colder and windy. Friday though, heading into the 40's and 50 over the weekend. My truck was an ice cube this morning. Took awhile to get it warm and cleaned off.

93 days till Fun On A Boat!!!!! Although, I am seriously thinking of sneaking in a quick trip before. I need to get out of the cold.
