Oh NO! I have never meet you Brandie, but I can tell I would miss not seeing you at MF.:grouphug:
Awww...what a sweet thing to say! :grouphug: If i'm not at MF, it just means that we would know that we would be heading to China to meet our daughter! So while I love you guys bunches...like Todd said, my reason for potentially missing MF is an important one! :flower3:

But once we've finished our adoption...look out!! You guys won't be able to resist the powers of my DD...:rotfl:

Besides...i'm sure you'll be sick of me by the time this cruise is over and done with anyway...:lmao:

Maybe you should just go and buy her a new one.

New camera vs. New suitcase for mom.....She has plenty of her own, she just likes mine better and she won't need to go find hers in the garage that way.

Brandie, How is the adoption going anyway. Are they done with the home visits? Have they given you any idea how much longer it will be?:goodvibes
Nope...everything's updated for this year now. We're submitting paperwork for our agency's special needs program and hope to be matched to a waiting cild within the next year! I don't want to have to do all of this again...lol

We want to surprise DD with a trip this year for her birthday. DD is the ONLY one in our family to not celebrate a birthday at Disney. I waited for this year as her birthday should be well before the start of school but now the school board has changed that idea (too bad since my time off work is already booked!)

We just can't decide - first week of September will be the time - DL or WDW? I think the deals may be better at WDW which is throwing a wrench in my park ticket options for this trip. The dollar may be not so good for us now, but it could be worse then...
hmmmmmm :scratchin

Suggestions???

If budget isn't an issue or both trips work out to be the about the same given the diff in airfare vs on-site WDW hotels, etc. how about going to the one your family goes to less often? That might make it feel more special to her since she sees it less. Of course, if you're weather sensitive then DL will prolly be better in early Sept.

So, we can get together and take Jen and Don out for drinks, because they are the best ever.

From all your posts, I think you're the sweetie! :goodvibes

I do not have any suggestions for you.
However if you figure it out let me know.
My youngest who will be 6 in April still bites.
We have done everything we can think of and nothing has worked.
He mostly just bites his older brother when he doesn't get his way, but still it is Unaceptable.

I have a suggestion, but it involves a set up and is ruthless! :scared: They sell this stuff to stop kids from sucking their thumb - the solution is harmless but is the WORST tasting bitter stuff imaginable :crazy2: Brush it on your older son in a place where the younger son usually bites when he doesn't get his way. Then have your older son play with the coveted toy (or whatever) and when bossy lil bro demands it, older bro refuses to give it up. Hopefully (just this one last time!) lil bro will try to chomp older son. The taste is instant and terrible and will stop lil bro from EVER trying it again. This is dastardly :p , I know but like you say, it's unacceptable and the kid is 6. Now, don't ask how I know what that stuff tastes like :rolleyes1

cheers,
:flower3:

I bet it is a very long process! Hopefully you are blessed this year!:cheer2:
Chickie ~ every time I see the Corgi butt in your sig, I smile.
Awe, Thanks. She's even cuter when she runs - we call it the bunny hop!paw:

I carry my DSLR in one of my larger purses. Works great!

Do you use any extra protection? The lens they have for this thing is huge and it has the cover at the end (I am sure there is a real term for that).

Not really. I don't have anything else in my main compartment so it's just the camera and extra lens and cleaning rag, etc. in there. So far no problems. :)

Thanks. Maybe I will just go for it. I do have a larger purse and it is pretty padded.

Princesses always have that power don't they!

You are too sweet for anyone to be sick of!

Without discounts, airfare is the only difference. Oh and we have NEVER been to DL. I am only hesitating because I think the discounts for WDW will be bigger...and both DD and DH feel the heat pretty bad. Scales seem to be tilted towards DL...:goodvibes

Has anyone ever used a camera bag like this?

http://products.lowepro.com/product/SlingShot-100-AW,2034,4.htm

I would like to use our family's DSLR, but I refuse to carry the case they have for it. It's not a bag, it's a case.

Of course, I have waiting until the last minute and want something to use this weekend.

I got one for my dad and he seems to like it. I've used a vera bradley bag for my lenses and DSLR if I were walking around and not doing a lot of rides. Otherwise, I take a(n ugly) padded camera bag. I have seen inserts you can get that would make my VB bag a bit sturdier- I might look into those for the cruise.
