When you pre book excursion you pay at that time correct?

No. You pay for it on board.

It is on the sea day which I believe is Wednesday. As of now all of the time slots are full for parties of 1-2 except 12:00noon. If the online bookings all fill up you might still be able to snag one when you board the ship. I think they hold some back for people to be able to book when they board.

The larger tables are held back for booking onboard plus a few others. When you log in, you are only going to be able to see tables for your party size. That doesn't mean that other tables and times are not available.

You will be charged for them with your onboard account. Yes, you can use your onboard credit to pay for these. You must cancel 3 days prior to the cruise or you will be charged - unless of course an excursion is canceled once onboard.

Nope DCL will charge your account when you are on the ship.

If you want to eat at Palo and can't get it online, get to the boat early and book on board. Chances are high that you will get something once you get on board.

I am a Castaway Club member (past DCL cruiser) so I have been able to book since 90 days before the cruise. I want to try the brunch. I have had dinner at Palo and really wasn't impressed. The food I had was good but nothing outstanding and my server was terrible. The people at the table next to me had a great server. He kept bringing out all kinds of things for them to try. My server could have cared less if I was there or not. The whole time I was there I was wishing that I was in the regular dining room with my table mates who were great.
