First Ever DISUnplugged Podcast Cruise Five Alive

We are talking about going over to Gaylord Palms one evening after the cruise for dinner. My dd and I have stayed there a couple of times, and dd is excited to show it to her dad. We'll probably go over a little early and walk around for awhile and then eat at Sunset Sams. It's such a cool hotel; just looking around the atrium can take up an evening.

Other than that, we haven't made any ADR's. We are planning on doing Epcot on Friday, so I told DH to figure out where he wants to eat dinner that evening. Any suggestions?

Jen, I've never used Empire. But, I had to tell you that my dd was sliding on our older hardwood floor last night, and she ended up with a splinter in her foot!:scared1: We can't figure out where it came from, but it might be time to get our floors redone now.

I just booked two dinners for after the cruise. We figured the rest that we wanted to go to we would just wait and see what we were in the mood for when we are there. We have 9 nights so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. And if we miss something, oh well! We'll just have to go back.

We booked Boma and Jiko (never ate at either, except Boma for breakfast once). We're going to Jiko on our anniversary

What nite/time are you at Jiko? We might see you there!

I love Jiko. It is one of my favorite restaurants. I've tried something different everytime I've been and every meal has been terrific.

May 22, just before the next cruise. It'll be our 16th anniversary.

Very funny!

Darn, we will miss you! I was going to buy dinner too
We're doing Jiko this trip too! But our night is May 16th as part of the Sunset Safari tour...

Anyone here ever use Empire? Looking to get hardwood or laminate floors soon.
Nope...we purchased our laminate from Menards and installed it ourselves.

Beware of a large group of mostly tipsy people attempting to follow a lightsaber!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Question about the DolFUN:

What time is check-in? Do they have a similar procedure like Disney owned resorts where if your room isn't ready they hold/deliver your luggage to your room once it is ready?

I agree. We really enjoyed Sea World and made a day out of it. If you can swing it I'd recommend the backstage Dine with Shamu experience. The food was good and we loved the opportunity to see Shamu so close.

Here's a shot we took during our meal.

I took DSis to Seaworld and Discovery Cove last January - we did this lunch but that didn't happen.

For those of you that got passports, where did you get your pics taken?popcorn::

I know you can get your pics at the Post Office but I'd rather not.

former postal worker.:teeth:

One of our local photography shops offers a free passport wallet with the photos so I went there, the first time. Next time - CAA (=AAA)

Love my Keurig kcup machine. I'm having a Timothy's Rainforest Espresso as we speak! I also have a pod brewer by Grindmaster. I have a mixture of both on hand depending what's on sale.

Being a cruise newb I thought you still paid these people in person.

I get up at 5 am for day shift. I need something with a timer & that brews a lot. We have been using the small decaf coffee pot we have for my Dad that brews 5 cups with no timer. I stood in the coffee maker section of Sears much longer than anticipated, and picked out a DeLonghi. I used my Sears card, then paid it off so I can gather more Sears points. The Sears points then get turned into store credit, and will be used to buy cruise clothes for DD!

And I thought the same thing about the tips!

I went to Discovery Cove back in Oct 2001 and received a 5 day pass to SEA WORLD. I loved SEA WORLD. We went three times that week. You guys will have a great time!

I only wish I could do Discovery Cove instead...it is Friday the 13th - my lucky day...maybe the lottery will come through for me!

I might suggest the tour also, we did the 8 hour VIP tour in XMAS of 07 and it was worth every penny!

OMG you got to pet a penguin?????? I hadn't done the full day tour but that looks to be worth it!

Your talking to the girl who once sent her mortgage payment to the cable company and her cable payment to the mortgage company. :scared:

Just making sure I didn't screw it up. :rolleyes1

DH once did this, but with a LARGE credit card payment and teeny tiny Highway Toll payment (as in less than $10). The credit card company started calling before he realized. I am pretty sure we can drive his car up and down the 407 for life and still not have to pay! :lmao: :drive:

Yes they do! Check in is 3pm, I believe...For MF, I arrived before noon and checked in. They gave me my keys and took my cell phone number and told me that they would call when my room was ready. I stepped into the ladies room to change my clothes and freshen up a bit and had planned to drop my bags off at the Bell Services desk, but they called me within about 10 minutes to let me know that my room was now ready!

When I checked in at WL in September it was 8:15 Am and the room was ready! It was great.:woohoo:

My Keurig only brews one cup at a time but in 30 seconds. Fresh and hot. It starts up early in the morning to heat the water and is ready to brew me a cup when I get downstairs. DW had stopped drinking coffee and was primarily a tea drinker before we got the Keurig. Used to mess with her stomach. Not with the coffee we use in the Keurig. I've retired our old drip maker and it probably will not ever see the light of day again. Maybe a yard sale. :scared:

Good luck with the new DeLonghi. :woohoo:

I :lovestruc my Keurig! DH doesn't drink coffee. It's just me. I love that machine!

We have the "mini" at work Dodie. I'm thinking of getting one for travel to WDW. :cool1: My wife loves her Mudslide, German Chocolate Cake, Swiss Chocolate Almond, and Butter Toffee. All the foo foo coffees. :lmao:

I just got Green Mtn Wicked Winter Blend. Awesome coffee.

I have given some serious thought to letting dh and dd go back to the hotel and trying to meet up with all of you guys...;)

You know you wanna...

Peer pressure...and you thought you left that behind in junior high and high school! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
