Good morning !

Question: I read about the dress attire for dinner on the cruise. But what about breakfast? Can you wear shorts/sandals to breakfast in Animators Palate?

Yup. As long are you are wearing clothes you're ok.

Fiona

Alright peoples!! I'm off to study for my test, then take my test!! Wish me luck!!

See you tonight in chat!!!

Thanks for the well wishes. Am going to see a lawyer tomorrow to see if they can actually make me work for the 8 months but I have an awful feeling that they can which really sucks. Everyone else gets severance but apparently I won the lottery and have to work. :rotfl:

Now where are the real lottery numbers.

Breakfast and lunch are not served in Animators Palate. The only thing that they say about breakfast and lunch is you shouldn't be wearing swimwear into the restaurants. I throw on a tshirt or shorts if I have on my swimsuit and am going to the buffet. I just wouldn't wear a swimsuit to Parrot Cay or Tritons/Lumieres, but shorts and sandals are fine for any of these. I must say that just throwing shorts over my one piece swimsuit and going to Beach Blanket Buffet, I felt naked. A tshirt was much better. But swimwear at Goofy's, Pluto's and Pinocchios was common.

Hi Everyone -- don't post a whole lot but am really looking forward to this cruise. My job has been so-so for the last year and on Monday I was laid off/fired/terminated whatever..... The sick part about it is that at this point I have to work through my notice period which is 8 months -- yup I get the joy of coming into work for another 8 months. I'm not supposed to say anything to anyone so I guess I'm supposed to keep smiling as well. :lmao:

They are allowing me to have vacation time and since the cruise is paid for we'll be going but now I'm looking forward to it even more -- 2 weeks without having to pretend is going to be such a relief.

The days can't be short enough for me.

Fiona

Hi Fiona. Sorry to hear this. Please keep your chin up and post more often. You are among friends. :grouphug:

Hey Aaron...sorry if your e-mail box is full with the banter on FB...

I have a couple questions. Who else is stay at the Beach Club the night before? I know Jen and Chris, Aaron and his family, and Kim. Anyone else?

How does everyone plan on getting to and from the Poly meet? If we stay I would love to go, but I don't know if I can handle the bus to and from.

We are staying at the Beach Club, and we will use Disney transportation, unless we are at the Poly way late, then I suppose we'll get a cab.

She's okay with it. Its a known nickname. I just use it sparingly or in IM only.

I didn't even need any hints and I got what your wife's nickname is. Let's just hope you never IM the wrong person.

:confused3 I'm not even sure who #5 is?? Nicole?? or is she 4?? or not even on the list?? :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Ouch. :headache: You don't know what number I am??? According to wife #1, I am #5.

I guess I have the same concern around time. I was hoping to get to port around 11:30 or so. Since this is our first cruise, I do want some time for exploration, lunch, check out the room, and possibly meet the pubmaster at 2:30. :goodvibes Doing the bus to port may not afford me this.

I've rented a 2nd car from Alamo that I'll leave at the Dolphin on the 10th so we can party on the bus. I also kept my first car res for now waiting for the logistics.

And I didn't ask one question so slap yourselves. :rotfl2:

I agree. I'm hoping the bus gets there earlier than later, but still allows for breakfast for everyone.

Feeling OK.
Still have to watch what I do, though.

John, welcome back. You have given me a great visual to get me through my day :)

I'm not sure what amazes me most about that thread - that someone hasn't brought up cake yet OR that a thread that is to honor mothers has been hijacked to talk about naked women and their kitties. :lmao:

Would throwing a bathing suit cover on over your swim suit be acceptable at Beach Blanket Buffet, or would you need something a little more?

Aaron, wearing a bathing suit cover will result in your man card revocation.

Good morning everyone. I'm baccck. I love it when we return from a trip the first thing that DH does is to check the online credit card statement to see how much we spent. Man, Arkansas was expensive. But, in my defense, I needed some major retail therapy after spending a few days in Hicksville. It really wasn't that bad.

Now I have the rest of the week to myself because we dropped our girls off at my dad's house. I'm going to start (yes, I'm just starting at 9:54) my morning off by going to the gym. See you in a little bit.

What does a man's bathing suit cover up look like?:rotfl:

You can also take the food out on deck. At least that is what we did the first day on board. We ate right by the Goofy pool, so I would think a bathing suit would be ok there.

No problem....It's actually been very interesting reading. I like the way you guys think. Very philosophical....Kind of like "Socrates" :)

I am trying to keep a mental list of who is staying at the BC before the cruise. Too bad my mind is not what it used to be.:rotfl2:

Yea...I should have clarified! LOL! :lmao:
I was asking more for my DD (9) and DW.

Hey, give up the dirt....
I think DH deleted the conversation on his FB page by now. His brother just doesn't know when to stop and it makes me nuts...poor Aaron had posted to the thread in the beginning and has been subjected to the whole thing...:rotfl:
