First Ever DISUnplugged Podcast Cruise, 11th and Final Thread

I just checked the weather for our Nassau day since DH insisted on doing the Atlantis Beach Day. They are calling for isolated showers. I am not sure what to do. I hope it means it is like in Florida where it rains for a bit and then it is done.

I will not be able to sleep tomorrow night, since I leave VERY early Thursday morning. I should be able to get a decent night's sleep tonight. I hope.

As far as P&P goes, I have actually never read it. I know, sacriledge (sp?) Anyway, I subscribe to Audible.com and I had my April credit still sitting there, so I got P&P. I should be able to get get through at least half of it waiting in the airport and on the plane on Thursday. I have seen the BBC mini series with Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy and loved it. I have a reading disability (although you wouldn't know it by all the books I have in my basement) and some books are hard for me to read. In fact, an old friend was brought to mind last night and I am re-reading it. Has anyone read Madeleine Brent. I love her/his books, since Madeleine Brent is the name Peter O'Donnell used for a series of gothic romance. Kind of like the Victoria Holt books. I loved her too. Anyway, that's why I have so many books in the basement. I can't get rid of friends, you might never know when you want to visit with them again.

Geez, I am in a rambling mood today :) Anyway, I actually have a shipboard question. Is anyone bringing a little purse/murse with them for the day while we are onboard? I generally don't wear my glasses all the time but I want them with me and I NEED reading glasses so, I think I will need to have a small bag with me. Now I need to go through the purse stash to find a small crossbody bag.

Kim
I actually prefer audiobooks! I loved the Twilight series as an audiobook...

And I will be bringing my little Baggallini with me to use during the day and at the parks. It's big enough to hold the important stuff like glasses, lip gloss, ID, money, small camera, etc...but it's small enough to not get in the way. It's the same one that I used at MF. :cutie:

That is pretty much the deal. It can be raining on one side of the island and sunny on the other. Unless there is a front pushing thru, rain typically does not last long.

I just purchased a little bag for the cruise. I have to carry the pager and my KTTW card on board. I like lanyards, but really don't want to wear one with my nice outfit. The rest of the time I usually carry my drawstring back pack. That way I have a place to keep my camera and sunblock.

I got our mail put on hold. My list for today is to take Madi to the art museum for the field trip she is going to miss. Not to worry, this is a much smaller task than it appears. We live in a small community. The art museum is rather small. Then down to the Mississippi River to admire the fine statues that Muscatine has to brag about. I'm going to arrange for childcare for the girls (Madi is NOT happy about this) for DATW. And, I might pack my suitcase :)

I use a little purse for dinner only. I use my lanyard for IDs and KTTW all other times.

Anyone bringing a ShamWow? :lmao:

I am way to pumped as well. I leave Friday am and there is way too much to do let alone do work as well. I think we are all in the too excited to sleep mode.

Still one of my fav Disney commercials

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b95oyhSd5ls

It's right up there with the cruise line commercial that has the little girl in the elevator referring to her little brother as a special "souviner" from the trip.:rotfl:

I just called the Dolphin to give them my Starwood Preferred # and to make a spa appointment for my Mom and Cousin Joyce to get pedicures on Saturday afternoon. Now I just have to finish up my spreadsheet!!!

It's down to crunch time and I am taking care of business. :rotfl2:

When I was there in September the love bugs were on everything. It didn't matter what color it was. We were wearing dark blue shirts and they were on us!

I woke up to 3 inches of snow this morning. :scared1:
Sorry Kathy, I'm wishing that it was Friday today.

We have a reservation at 2:50. I hope it's not to late for Remy. It is a pain to change the ADR with so many people.

O.k. that's gross Love Bugs on everything. Ewwwwwwwwwwww

Enough is enough what is that 3 inches of snow. Double Ewwwwwww

Never mind chaging the ADR.

Love bugs are not here yet!! I don't know what's its like in Orlando, but on the coast, we don't have them yet!!

How easy/difficult would it be to get some ocean water from the Atlantic Ocean that I can bring back for DP? If I get some while in the Bahamas, can I take it off the ship?

I Agree Todd. It seems overwhelming at times. There are a lot of activities planned, but we plan on relaxing and having a blast. We know we can't do everything. We are picking and choosing our "can't miss" events. Good times no matter how you slice it! :thumbsup2

I just wanted to say congrats on your promotion, John told me last night and I am so happy for you. :cheer2::cheer2::hug::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Crud! I spent all day yesterday thinking TODAY the Podcast comes out... nuts.

Oh, well - hey! I didn't tell you guys what I bought for myself in Disneyland!!! Remember those Robert Olszewski boxes Pete bought for the rest of the crew a few months ago?

I don't believe you can call it a "collection" unless you own 3 of something, so... :rolleyes1
