Mornin' peeps. I went away for a couple of days for work and I missed 30 pages on #10 and 11 pages on this new thread! You guys don't mess around! I start my vacation at 10:30am on Friday morning. I know most of you feel the same way I do, but I really need this break from work. My glass is full as they say. Have a great day folks!

I was wondering about the flu thing too. What do they do if there's an outbreak onboard? I can think of no other place I would rather be quaratined. Seriously though, would they make everyone stay in their stateroom or what?

I think this is being blown out of proportion. If a few people are sick, they will be quarantined. The CMs will start serving food and drink at the buffets and drink station. Disney has protocols if too many people get sick and will institute them.

Again, I think this is something we shouldn't worry about. Being concerned and taking precautions is important. Worrying about everyone getting sick is not.

If I'm not first and I'm not last, then the middle it is.

Someone tell me what to do. Madi has two soccer games this weekend. Emilie has one. Emilie's coaches were aware that Emilie would be missing her game because Madi's games are in the town where 3 of my siblings live. James has inventory and will be working late on Saturday.

ORIGINAL PLAN: Emilie is missing her game, so we can go to Madi's games at 11 and 3. Grandma, Grandpa, uncles, aunts, and cousins are attending games. Sister offered for us to come to their house following the games and have a cook-out. Spend the night at sister's house.

Now sister's kid has the flu. I don't care if she is healthy tomorrow. I don't want to stay at her house, and I really don't want to knowingly put my kids around her kids.

ALTERNATIVES: Come home after Madi's game and send Emilie with her coach and let her be at her game. OR, stay at my brother's house and have Emilie miss her game. But, there is still a chance that my kids will be around my sister's kids.

Sorry this is long, but I need opinions.

I would stay home! Vacation being so close it is just not worth the risk IMHO.

I would go with the first alternative. Stay away from sick people!!!

Anywhere you go you could be exposed. The press has escalated this much higher than it should be. The Wonder does NOT go to Mexico. You are exposed just as much anywhere else. Just use common sense - wash your hands frequently, don't be kissing Todd or Don (sorry boys) and drink lots (to kill the germs LOL).

My gramma called me last night concerned and asked if I would think about canceling my vacation. I placated her and said I would take it under advisement.

OK, I think I have gone overboard with my flattie. I have 2 of the same person and enough outfits for day and evening for each day of the cruise. And a special one for Pirate night. Not very pirate, but flashy.
