Have booked our first dvc trip for first two weeks in nov this year, have had to book 3 different resorts staying in 1brm value villa akv for 7 nights, then 2nights SSR studio and finishing in OKW 1 brm villa for 5 nights, will it be a big problem changing resorts and any advice to make it go smoothly would be appreciated. we have hired a car so have not got to use disney transport to change resorts. thanks.:woohoo:

I've done this several times and have never had any issues switching. In fact some of our trips have been even better because we were able to experience the different resorts, which all have their own unique ambiance.

As for suggestions, just be packed up the night before and have a plan for the check in days (relocation days). At times we were able to get a room early when we transferred, and other times the villa wasn't ready until 4.

Since it's your first DVC trip I think it will be fun for you to get to "sample" 3 of the resorts. That is one of my favorite parts about DVC, the ability to try different DVC resorts and decide which ones you like best.

The only problem that I see is the SSR leg. Moving from a 1 bedroom to a studio can be tough. ::rotfl2:

I would be really interested in how it goes for you. We are thinking of doing this with two resorts instead of three. I hope all goes well and please give us a report.:)

I do at least 3 resorts per 10-12 day visit, of course we travel light so for us, DH/DW/2DS
It is easy and fun.

On the other side some people hate to move even once.

Sounds like an AWESOME trip:thumbsup2

You have a car so changing will be a breeze. Have your stuff ready the day before....check in early and just head to a park from resort 2.

Or....lounge in your room for a lazy bkfst. You have the room till 11am. Then they head to the pool at resort #1....while YOU go to resort #2 (taxi)with a bag of changing clothes for everyone later and the luggage to check into bell services....and Checkin to room.

You grab your spot at the pool if room not ready and call the family to come on over......this works best when room is ready....you set the room up and then they come over to the pool.(by taxi).....unaware that all of our stuff is in the room:goodvibes
Happy Planning

We do split stays quite often. If you prepare and pack light you will be fine. The resorts will store/transfer luggage but the lighter you pack the easier. Particularly since there is a studio stay in the middle. If you tend to buy a bunch of groceries the studio fridge is only a small one.

We love to switch as it feels like two vacations. As well, there are things we like about each resort.

Have a great time.

We are staying at 3 different resorts in November, too! We'll be there the second and third weeks. OKW 5 nts, Swan 2 nts (cash), SSR 5 nts. I'm planning on having a good time experiencing all three. Maybe we'll see you at OKW!
