Just returned from a lake view studio room 2030. Got the text while at the airport that our room was ready. Parked in the lot closest to the building and went directly to the room. This was our first ever stay at the Poly and loved the location of the room. Very easy access to the TTC was a huge plus, no one rides the boat over to the MK at certain time of the day. The walk to the main building is a long one but not all that bad. If I didn't have to go there to refill my mug, we would have never gone inside at all. Easier to walk to the boat or express monorail.
The room itself was very nice. The drawers under the bed gave us enough storage and the spot at the end of the bed was perfect for storing the luggage. The bathrooms have two drawers and some shelves for storage , I put my clothes in the there while in the shower.
The construction was a non-issue and never heard anything from it at all. The boat horn however I did hear....often. Myself and youngest daughter heard them, my wife and oldest daughter said they never heard the horns.
On to making someone cry again. Last year I surprised my daughters with a longer stay at the VGF when they thought we were going home from the BLT. They were so excited they cried.
This year my inlaws wanted their grandchildren down formy father in laws birthday. LOOONG story but within a month my family made the arrangments to go down the day before they would arrive. They called us when they landed so we started to make our move. Went to the Ariel statue at the BCV's and took a picture of my daughters sitting on it. It's the same picture we took of them 8 years ago when they were 5 and 3. Sent them a message asking which picture they liked better, sent the old picture first and said remember this one from 8 years ago and waited a bit. Once they were in the lobby of the BWV's and we were just outside we sent the new picture saying we just took this one ten minutes ago.
They were so excited they cried.
