First drink in DW (or anywhere!)

I've never had any alcohol, but I want to try something in DW. But I have no idea what might be good. I'm pretty picky which is partly why I've never had a drink, didn't want to waste the money. But I figure, I'm celebrating graduation in DW, might as well party! :P

I'm not really fond of fruit, so I'm kind of leaning away from those kinds of cocktails. But any suggestions of what to try and where it is would be welcome.

Our TS restaurants (all dinner) are
Coral Reef
Jiko
Marrakesh
1900 Park Fare
50's Prime Time
Ohana
and possibly Spoodles or Planet Hollywood

Thanks!

I know you said no fruit, but this isn't fruity IMO. My vote is for the Grey Goose (vodka) citron lemonade slush from a cart in France in Epcot. I am a lightweight drinker and this didn't seem to have much alcohol, so may be good for a first drink. It is sold at a cart near the water. There was also a Grand Marnier orange slush and wine and champangne at the same place, but I didn't try them. It was $9.00, but worth it! Very fun to get a slush before watching Illuminations. (FYI, the kiosk closed right before Illuminations so get it first.)

Have a great trip!

My suggestion based on your ADR's would be try a glass of wine at Jiko. They can pair it to the course, even dessert. They have an very good wine list and are very knowledgeable. Explain to your server the situation. The server or sommelier (wine steward/manager) will guide you through a selection Typically with wine, they pour a small sample first to see if it is acceptable, before they pour the serving.

I'm assuming you mean college graduation and not high school graduation as the legal drinking age in Florida is 21 (sorry - it's the teacher and mom in me...). I'd suggest a dessert-type drink such as a chocolate martini or mud-slide. Since it is your first, you'd be less likely to feel the effects too strongly after a full meal. Plus, it's dessert - who wouldn't love that?? :goodvibes

Yes, it's college graduation(master's degree actually). I LOVE your suggestions, I had no idea there were drinks with chocolate in them. They sound great!

Every resort lounge has a "global" drink menu. (It's a dark blue book with stars on it) If your looking for chocolate flip to the back page, there are a few back there.

Double espresso Martini, Godiva Chocolate Martini, and the Mudslide Martini all come to mind.

My hubby and I drink about once a year....at Disney. Just a little drink on our date night :goodvibes He swears the Island Sunset at O'Hana could make him an alcoholic!

50's PTC has a Picnic Punch that is one of my faves at WDW.

At Jiko I usually have some red wine but they have an African margarita that my friends liked.

Coral Reef USED to have my favorite of all, Key Lime Martini, but they don't have it anymore. I think I had a pina colada concoction there the last time.

I have not indulged at the other places you are going.
