First dress fitting.. help!

Tomorrow afternoon I'm having my first real dress fitting ... what should I expect! I'm really nervous! I'm going alone unfortunately.. I live over 2,000 miles away from my family so my mom and sister can't come with me and share this with me.

can anyone tell me how these dress things go? Do I need to worry about anything?

If you can, bring a friend. Having someone else's opinion around is very helpful. Plus, the people working at the bridal shop, will most certainly tell you that everything looks "perfect...beautiful! That's the one for you!" If you can't bring a friend, then don't worry. Tell them that you're in the beginning stages of trying on dress, and that you don't expect to be ordering a dress today.
Depending on the store, they may not allow you to take pictures of the dress, so keep that in mind. Also, you can bring a small robe with you if you don't want to stand around in your birthday suit while waiting for a dress.
Oh, and some stores (like the one where I got my dress ) don't have racks of dresses for you to look through. Instead, they bring out a catalog, or wait for you to name a designer, or just ask you questions about the type of cut, and style of dress...and then they bring a few out for you to try on.
