Hey me and my girlfriend are thinking of going to Disney if not next April (2011) then for definite the one after that (2012) It will be her birthday while we are out there and we will be 21 and 20 or 21 and 22! I was just wondering if the Disney fanatics here had any tips plans or guides on how to have a successful trip and how to make it special for her!

We have both been to Disney with family before but never together :) we are going to stay for 3 weeks in a villa thanks in advance for the help guys :)

if you never want to wait in lines be in the parks by 8 and just head straight to the back of the park explore things there and move forward as the crowds come in they always stop and check out what right in front of them hence creating lines. So while you've just seen everything in the back and work your way forward the crowds work their way back. It's the best tip I ever got!!! No lines ever!!!!

I highly suggest getting a park hopper and staying on site it's so much easier and cheaper no renting a car or getting a cab. For her birthday when you make your dining reservations make sure you tell the person making the reservations that your celebrating a birthday the person helping you will then immediatly put that on all your reservations and every dinner lunch breakfast you go to your server will say happy birthday and she'll get a cupcake :D it's awsome MAKE SURE TO GET HER A BIRTHDAY BUTTON! If you stay on site ask for it when you check in or when you go to the parks ask the people at the gate where you can get a birthday button.

Everywhere you go people will be saying happy birthday at the animal kingdom parade with all the people in the parade stopped to say happy birthday to me it was SO COOL! I got it in other parades but not as much as animal kingdoms since their isnt any realy choreography or anything.

Also on her birthday I'd make reservations at her favorite place or just one thats really nice and when you make the reservations order ask about ordering a cake for her. My mom ordered me this beautiful little cake like the size of a cupcake all decorated beautifully it had a replica of cinderella's castle on top of it. It made my day I loved it.

Google disney birthday suprises for more ideas.

enjoy your trip planning! it's so much fun :wizard:

3 weeks is a long time. April is great at the end of the month but a horror at the beginning because of Spring Breaks. Depends a little on when Easter is but after is better. Understandable if her birthday is before and you want to be there then. If that's the case I'd skew park days to the end of your trip.

There is lots of things to do out side of the parks. A few dinner shows, golf, boating and shopping. You might want to go to the boardwalk resorts to dance. Also by POR there are horse drawn carriage rides.
