My DD (6) and I are going to WDW for the first time in Feb.......Right now we have a week vacation planned, but I have been contemplating adding a few days on to the trip to make it a little more relaxed. If we added the few days we could spend two days at each park...taking our time to relax... I guess my question is here is.....Do you think my daughter would get bored with being there for 10 days instead of 6??

Bored. . . at Disney?!?!?!? No way. We go at least once a year and have for the past ten years and still haven't seen or done it all!

4 Days til we're back at Fort Wilderness and WDW!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Haha yeah thats what I was thinking too......Just trying to figure out if it would be better to do the 6 days and trying to get in a park in each day or doing 10 days and spreading out..for example spending the morning at MK until 3, then going to DTD to do some shopping or to the Cirque or something and then sleeping in the next morning and seeing MK at night, then doing pretty much the same thing for the other three parks.

Bored? Definately not!! The only think I would consider, and I will admit, I didn't but it wouldn't have changed anything for me, is that a 10 day vacation is just a long vacation for kids. (husbands too! ;) )

We thought the same as you, if we took a couple xtra days we could take our time, breaks in the afternnoon, sleep in if we wanted, revisit our favorite parks. We did that and it was great! But by the last day, we were all exhausted anyway and just hung out at the hotel (Wilderness Lodge so it it was really a tough decision! :rotfl: )

But like I said, if well, when we go again, I'm not sure I'd do it any differently!! It will be dh who will be trying to change my mind! He was ready to go home by day 6. :confused3 Just something to think about. No doubt you will have a great time no matter how long you stay. Have fun!!!!

I agree with all the above posts. No one will get bored, but it may be a little too much. I don't know this from experience though. We have only stayed 6 nights at the most. The only reason 10 days sounds like a lot to me is my feet kill me after about 5 days. Definately wear good shoes and I hope you guys have a great time.

My family spent 7n/8d at BC this past June. We had the parkhopper with waterparks and also had 2d + 2 free days at Universal.

We made it to Universal for two days, but to only 1 waterpark. We didnt get to see and do everything we wanted.

The 3 children DD17 princess: , DD14 :bride: , and DS10 pirate: were never bored and we stayed until closing at the parks everynight.

Planning next trip for 10 days, maybe 12 if the DW lets me :) .

Hope you have a great vacation

Just sharing my experience as we just returned this past week.....

If you can, I'd definitely add more days. We just returned after 7 nights at Disney, and we had such a good time that we booked our next trip by 9:30 the morning after we returned. :thumbsup2 This time, we have booked 9 nights as we found that we were wishing for more time at the end of this trip. However, we want more days next time so we can have more 'down time' to enjoy. The parks are great fun, but we found that we really enjoyed staying at our resort, bumming around the pool, hitting the 'beach', the playground, etc. We want more time to enjoy the fun outside of the parks next time! We also found that we needed those days as the parks were exhausting! (even with afternoon breaks/naps) Don't forget to slow down, get out of the parks, and enjoy the beauty of the resort as well!

Have fun!!
