Make sure you eat at the trails end in fort wilderness, it is great. My biggest tip is don't over plan, you will feel run down. Do make some ressies for places you want to eat check out disneyworld.com and plan meals for which park you want to go to each day. go to calender on that site and see which park has extra magic hours and plan those days. Fantasmic is a great not to be missed show in mgm. Spectro magic in magic kingdom is my favorite parade. my kids favorite character meal is chef mickeys in the contemporary and our favorite theme meal is 50's prime time in mgm, where everyone is your aunt, uncle or cousin. very fun. you will have a magical time, it truely is the happiest place on earth, just don't over do it on your first trip there is so much to see and do.

We did our first Disney World family vacation in 1998. We stayed at Port Orleans. It was great. We are going again in October/November 06. Now I doing alot more research because when we went, we didn't plan we just went. This time I want to plan more like dining and activites. Enjoy your vacation. Although it wasn't throughly planned out, I had a wonderful time, and when it was time to leave, I didn't want to go home. Enjoy!

...pick up a good guide book. My personal favorite is the Passporter. This book has great descriptions of the rides so that you can decide which ones are on your MUST list, which ones you want to skip and which ones you'll do if there's time. The book also has good detail about all the many restaurants in the world...there's lots of them!

As far as what I wouldn't miss...riding up front with the driver in the Monorail from the TTC to Epcot (they can only take four). Be sure to ask the first CM you see as you approach the waiting area for this ride and be sure to get your Monorail driver's license!

Also, if you can, try one of the "special" disney tours. My husband and niece did the Segway tour in Epcot and LOVED it! My son (age 7) and my nephew (age 9) had a great time on the Pirate Cruise and I enjoyed the peace and quiet!

Everyone has a different view on restaurants. We really like Liberty Tree and Crystal Palace at MK...Brown Derby and Mama Melrose at MGM...the fish and chip shop and Garden Grill at EPCOT (along with anywhere in France...yum!) and Cape May (Yacht/Beach Club), Chef Mickey's (Contemporary), Ohana (Polynesian) and Boma (Animal Kingdom Lodge).

As far as rides/shows...too many to list! Have a great trip.
