I've done Disney may times with my sons- but this will be our daughter's first trip(she went as an infant).
Any good tips on Princess Breakfasts? Is Cinderella's Castle really good?
What do I need to know? Please Help!!
Thanx!

We loved CRT -- it was pretty magical, even with a longish line! We met Cinderella who was very charming and did not rush us in any way and got a family photo and autographs. The photo package is included and is delivered during your meal. When we got upstairs, we were seated and immediately juice, coffee and fruit was flowing! I think we met Snow White (warned us not to take apples from strangers), Auroroa, Belle and the Fairy Godmother (who has a great sense of humor) and all were very in character and charming. There is a wishing star ceremony and girls are given magic wands and boys swords and then a sweet little star as well.

The food was decent and promptly served...felt a little rushed, but I think they just want to get the plates out and not necessarily push you out the door. Many girls dress in costume and many do not...just the kids personal preference. Nobody felt awkward for not dressing up.

Just an FYI, they are opening a BBB in the castle, so I imagine a lot of ADRs will be booked for just after the BBB appt. It may be a little easier to get an ADR, as so many are on the dining plan and don't want to pay 2 TS credits. Maybe that will be a moot point after BBB opens up. Check out the Dining thread for info as well.

It was wonderful, and a bit expensive, but surprisingly, DH said he would do it again. I will take him up on that!

Oh, hey!!! I just noticed your first post!! Welcome to the Dis!!! You will get a tone of great info here!!

Don't want to scare you, but after all that's gone on at Disney lately, don't let her out of your sight.
That being said, I wouldn't miss O'hana's character breakfast. My girls loved it. A quick, inexpensive, delicious way to see Mickey, Stitch, Lilo, and Pluto.

Do you only want breakfasts? The dinner with Cinderella at 1900 Park Fare was very nice and DD really enjoyed it. We have not done the Princess meal at Norway or at the castle so we can't compare them. 1900 Park Fare was pretty though, and the buffet had lots of choices for everyone. The characters were from Cinderella (Cindy, Prince Charming, the two female mice, and the Fairy Godmother). The character interaction was very good when we were there and if you are paying OOP it is less expensive than the castle meal. I did hear that Park Fare is being rennovated this fall, so depending on when you are going, the Cinderella meal may be in the GF cafe and then I think the meal is pre-plated. Anyway, if Cindy is a fav of DD and you can't get the castle or don't want to deal with it, 1900 PF is a really nice alternative.

I have to second PP that the 'Ohana breakfast was a big hit with my DD. She also really likes Pooh and Co, so the Crystal Palace breakfast might be another alternative to look into. Unless your DD is a total princess nut, then you probably should look into the Princess meal at Norway etc.

I'll second dinner at 1900 Park Fair. Dh and I thought the food was excellent, and we don't usually like buffets. DD just loved seeing Cinderella. We had a later seating, so the restaurant was quieting down. This worked out well. The kids got plenty of character interaction, and we didn't have to stand in line for food. The food was still being replenished when we left, and there were only a few tables still full. We didn't feel rushed at all.

While my kids always want to have a meal in the castle, I think it's way-way overpriced for what you get. My kids don't touch the food, and dh and I don't really want to do so. Yeck!
