First Disney Trip - Well Balanced or Too Much

Not sure if you know (and maybe it was mentioned somewhere) but you can add park days to your ticket at the last minute and it won't be much for an extra day. I would see how it's going Wednesday, and if you feel like heading to a park for a short time Wednesday you can just add an extra day then (or anytime after). DHS is fun if you or your DH or kids like Star Wars! You can easily fill a part of full day without thrill rides with the Star Wars stuff, Toy Story, shows, etc. you or DH can do some thrill rides single rider or w/ FP too! My 6 year old loved TOT and RnRC, but she's fearless in general.

What I think is tiring (for parents and young kids) is riding/waiting for buses or transportation around the park. It takes forever sometimes! So I would limit going to a lot of different locations in "the world" as much as you can during a single day.

My first trip, I bought a cheap, used stroller off Craig's list that we stuffed my 5 year old in (and the 7 year old sometimes!) it had a place for one kid to stand on the back and storage in the bottom. It was a LIFESAVER. Highly recommend! Saved me lots of complaining and made stuff efficient because the little legs do get tired and it's a lot of walking.

This is our 1st Disney Vacation and may be our only (according to my husband!).
Famous last words!lol:)

Many a husband has made that statement before their first trip thinking WDW is only for kids only to be quite surprised on arrival.:)

I agree with PPs that say if anything, it probably isn't enough. But it's a long trip for us so we do between 7 and 15 days!

As for it being a first and only trip... My father in law didn't like the idea of Disney at all - too commercialised, everything man made, bla bla. Anyway, they booked to come with us, 12 years ago.

He LOVED it. Wore the mickey ears, high fived the characters, rode every ride, and has been back 5 times since. He's currently planning his next trip!

The only way anyone does it once is if the trip sucks due to under planning during a busy season. Or if money is an issue, but I've been known to go without food to save for Disney in my younger years :rotfl:
