WELCOME MELISSA!

I have never done the Western , but I am sure some DISers can help you:D

Melissa,

Welcome. We are glad to have you.

First, when you capitalize it is like screaming, so please use only when you really mean to scream:D .

Second, We are heading out on our first Western cruise so I don't think I can answer your questions, but what I did was just to read everyones posts and collect all the info you can. When you don't understand or need clarification these folks don't mind when you post a question. They are the nicest people and really do want to help. I feel like I have a new set of friends here. Now you are one of them.

Welcome again.

Did the Western (and Eastern) last February, and the weather was glorious. Key West is interesting, and it's well worth doing the Conch Bus trip. Dont bother booking with Disney, as it is very easy to buy tickets and hop aboard. Didnt care for the sunset in Mallory Square, as you get a better view of it from the Magic. Lots of shops to see. Keep a look out for the webcam by Sloppy Joes.. folks back home will be able to see you!

Grand Cayman is ok, but you really need to take advantage of the Disney trips on the island: otherwise you will be bored.

Cozumel is lively and fun: especially in Carlos and Charlies! Plenty to do and see................. but sadly I spent all morning at the dentist there! We are looking forward to going again soon, and hope my crowns stay put this time!

CC of course is just paradise. No more need be said!
You will love it, Im sure. Nat:Pinkbounc

Welcome to the DIS!

We did the Western in May and loved it.

Key West - we did the trolley on our own and bought our tickets over the net before we left. The trolley is great as it lets you get off and on at different spots. We did the Southernmost Point, Hemmingways House, the Butterfly Conservatory and walked up Duval street. We did the Key West Aquarium too.

Grand Cayman - we did an excursion through Disney to Hell, Stingray City and the Turtle Farm. Hell is a tourist spot. The turtle farm is nice - wish we had more time there. Stingray City is wonderful - my best vacation experience ever! You don't have to go through Disney as I've heard many wonderful things about Captain Marvin's. We did Disney and it was great too!

Cozumel - we did an excursion through Disney that took us to the ruins at San Gervasio right on the island. Nice and it ended up at Playa Sol beach for an hour or so. Others have taken the day long tour to Tulum on the mainland and said it was fantastic.

Castaway Cay is paradise - plain and simple!:sunny:
