First DCL cruise, looking for a little more info

When did the "must be potty trained" rule change? Are there enough dedicated CM's to monitor the ones who are not potty trained? We have never used these services and just wondering if they had a child to CM ratio? Sorry for hijacking this topic temporarily, but how crowded does the KIds Clubs get?
This rule changed pretty recently if I recall correctly. One of the CMs who is on this board has talked about it. She has said that they are able to provide limited help (i.e., finish pulling pants up), but it's definitely limited and minor. They're not going to let a child run around with their pants around their ankles, but they can't go in the bathroom and provide assistance the way Mom and Dad will. I think they said if your child is in pull ups, they ask you to come back every 30 mins to check on them. Also of note, a 3 year old can still use the nursery too, so if they aren't potty trained or you're not comfortable having them in a kids club, you still have an option :)

We are on the fence with that right now. Our DD just turned 3 and is potty trained but we are not sure how she will be in the kids klubs with all the bigger kids. She has been to the nursery a number of times and does pretty well there but will most likely be the oldest one in there. During the open houses we have been to, we have witnessed the bigger kids cutting in front of and pushing the little ones out of the way in various parts of the klub (also happens in the nemo's reef area) so we dont want her to feel intimidated on her first visit and never want to go back.

Guess we will find out in a few weeks which one is best for her.

Mine just turned 3, and we actually booked her birthday cruise for the week before so we wouldn't be tempted or have to choose. Hubby was worried about the older kids in the club too, and as her brother is 14 and can't go with her in there, we decided it would be easier to have her in the nursery when we needed, and just take the temptation away. I've heard reassurances that they will be fine, but parents will always worry :) Good luck with whichever path you choose!

Thank you all very much For the responses. Looks well spend the extra and just go with the passport book to be safe. One final question,
Any suggestions on what the best way to use your time on the ship is? We like the idea of going to the pool, but seeing that pic of the pool, I'm sure it will be packed like that much of the day. Is the adult pool usually very busy as well? Are the lounges open most of the day? Can anyone provide a few examples of family and adult activities that they offer in the navigator, IE do they offer wine tastings for adults etc.
Thank you guys again for all the great advice

Yes, there are things like wine tastings. As well as many other tastings and a mixology class.

Have you seen past Navigators? Here's a link to them:

It will help give you an idea of what sorts of things are offered on a cruise. There's lots to do, other than the pool. Also listed there are hours for the various lounges.

The adult pool can be busy
