Plane lands at 9:30am, guessing I won't be in WDW till around 11 am, is Typhoon Lagoon too crowded to enjoy from 12-6?

Or Downtown Disney & hotel pool instead?

O'hana for dinner is on the menu, too.

When we were there in July 2003, both water parks were closed due to capacity by 11 am. The parking lots close first, so you might still be able to get in if you go by resort bus.

It depends on what day you are going. School is not out yet so if it is during the week it may be OK. If it is on a weekend forget it. If you are going after school lets out for summer break I would get there at opening.

you need to be there when they open at 10 am or before!! By 11:00 am, 99% of the chairs are full!! We went to Typhoon Lagoon 2x last week and arrived by 11:00 and could not find a lounge chair- it was packed! We tried one more time and were there by 9:45- stood in a huge mass of people and when they let everyone in it was a "free for all" to find chairs! People were rude and pushy! We found 4 lounge chairs together- but left early as somehow there seemed to be a "freeway" made between my chair and the chair next to me and people kicked sand and dripped water all over me! Went back to the quiet pool at our resort!! I would stay at your resort pool and try the water parks on another day - early!!!!

We spent our first day at Typhoon Lagoon (arriving at the resort 11:00 a.m.) on our last trip. Our room wasn't ready when we checked in, so we left our bags with the bell hops, and hopped on the bus to TL. We had packed our suits and water park gear in a seperate carry on bag. It worked out great for us, but we didn't worry about finding lounge chairs at the park either. We just changed when we got there, stuffed our dry clothes in a locker, and hit the water slides. We headed back to our resort around 4:00, and had more than enough time to unpack, shower, and make our PS's for the evening meal at 7:00p.m.

It is a Saturday I am asking about. (May 7th).

hmmm... still on the fence....

The waterparks start to clear out some around 2-3, so late afternoon is a good time to go.

I agree, by this time many of the earlybirds head out of the park. We usually arrive in WDW around 11 am, grab a quick lunch and are in BB or TL by about 1 or 2. The waterparks are our favorite first day event. We don't get too fussy about seating since we want to slide!
