So, after a bit of a tense night (I'm in Cornwall with my family, and spent last night baling water, creating diversions and trying to keep our house dry) I'm in need of some light relief! Naturally, I decided to focus on the fact that our trip to DLP is just over two weeks away.

I was wondering if any of you are as sad as us and have first day or night traditions at DLP? Ours used to be hotdogs at Casey's watching Fantillusion, however that may have to altered on our next trip to first night hotdogs watching Dreams! DFi and I also seem to developing our own tradition of having lunch at Annette's before we head into the parks. :cloud9:

What about you? Is there anything you simply have to do during your first day? Something that well and truly gets you into the magic?

I think for us it's dinner at Annette's, altough we have been disapponted the last couple of times there it doesn't seem natural not to go there on the first night:goodvibes

Dinner at Annette's at the end of the day!
And we did this last week and think we will for future is get an EOS before we head to the parks! x

well we don't have any. On our first trip we rushed to the parks and on our second trip we arrived very late -nothing to do but go to bed :) this time we are planing late dinner in Cheyenne's bufftet. But I'd love to have a first evening tradition

We don't have a traditional "first meal", I suppose it depends on what time we arrive but we do have a traditional first ride - DS always insists on going straight to the Snow White ride although if we walk past the dragon's lair under the castle on the way he usually can't resist pulling us in there first! :)

We always head to fantasyland first and now that i think about it we do always eat at annette first day too. Im not a huge fan of the place but its handy in the village and you dont need reservations.

Another one for Annette's!

we never know quite what time we will arrive, get checked in etc, as we drive. So we always head for lunch here after checking in to the hotel, before we hit the parks

as you can't reserve a table, and all our other meals are planned and a table reservation made!

We then buy an autograph book, that's always next on the list!

Autograph books and pens where always a first purchase when the girls where small but they have outgrown that now :( also princess dresses where a must Now I have grandsons its not quite the same. Glad they love the magic though. Many more years of magic for me I think :)
