For our trip in May I'm planning to get the Dining plan.

Does it always start on your arrival day or can you ask for it to start from day 2?

As we fly in from Europe we usually don't arrive till 9pm and are so tired that we don't want to eat... I know I can use the credits at any time but it would then be using 11 credits over 10 days... that could be stretching it a bit ;)

Thank you O wise ones.. :worship:

It starts the day you check in so you couldn't have it start the next day. I usually use the left over credit on my last day.

It goes by the number of nights, so unless you are leaving early on the last day, you would not have an extra day. So if you are staying 7 nights/8 days, you get 7 days worth of credits. Another option is to do a room only reservation on your arrival day and then start your package the next day. Hopefully you would not have to move.

Our flight doesn't get in until 10:30 pm, so we are doing room only the first night. We have never had to switch rooms before (end of August), so it's a quick check back in the next am. I know we won't be able to eat another day's worth of food, so I don't want to pay for it.

An important clarification (which solves your problem!) -- the credits are assigned to you based on the number of nights you stay, but you can use them in any amount/order that you wish! A 7 night stay gets you 7 snacks, 7 CS meals, 7 TS meals -- you could use nothing on your arrival date, and 3 TS meals the next day (that is, have breakfast, lunch and dinner at TS restaurants) -- or whatever. You are not in any way restricted on how/when you use the credits during your trip. Does that make sense? Any questions I can answer? We just used the DP last month.

Also think about going 1 night to a Signature restaurant as these are 2 TS credits, Such as HoopDeDoo etc. For the extra snack and counter service, enjoy breakfast one day and not eat in the room as most people do with dining plan. For the snack get it on the last day and take it on the plane ride home. That goes for any sncak credits you may have left, you can fullfill them at anytime and a lot of people take things home with them on the trips. Have a great time. The plan is really worth it. I know a lot of people say it isn't for them, but it gave and will give us the opportunity to eat at a nice restaurant that would have otherwise been out of the budget. We had it in September 05 and are getting it again in Feb 06 :sunny:

Wow!! you guys are fast!

I was planning to do quite a few signature restaurants as we love good food. I'm already looking at Artist Point & California Grill... also DH would love to go back to Jiko again (but that's cause of the wine list...) So I should be able to use everything up, it's just that I could get by fine on just the 10 days if it was possible.

Anyone got any idea's where I could get a CS breakfast?
