First Cruise.... Is this a 'solid' itinerary?

My sister and I have booked our first cruise!! it is a June 1st to June 5th Sailing on the Majesty of the Seas.

It's four night with stops in Key West and Havana. My basic question is, is this enough time for a full experience?

It looks absolutely amazing, but seems a little short for all the process of getting there and learning the ship.

We are experienced WDW travelers, and used to navigating complicated systems. Basically, my question is, is this a 'solid' itinerary? It feels a little short.

Thoughts?

IMO, a nice place to start. I would hate to be on a 7 nighter or longer and find that the ship is not my cup of tea and the cabin isn't what I had hoped for. Start small and the only way to go is UP.

HAVE FUN!!!

Majesty is pretty small so a 4 night should be good. Plus you get to go to Cuba - not a bad deal I think.

I agree with both of yous. It's a good place to start I think for my first time cruising on a ship. Plus research indicated the Majesty is smaller, Ft. Lauderdale is calmer (please confirm if I am wrong), and the two stops are very cool.

Our first cruise was a 4-night. We laugh about it now because we were like, “We’ll try out something short to see if we like cruising.” Well, we love cruising and I would never book less than a 7-night now! We went out of Fort Lauderdale in October and just loved it. There is a Publix there for any of your pre-cruising needs. Great beach time was had as well! Enjoy Cuba!

My family and I can rarely go on vacation for more than 5 or 6 days (jobs, pets, etc.) so we do 4 nights most of the time.

4 nights is a great "sample" to find out if you will enjoy cruising. :)

I haven't been to Cuba but heard great things about it (friends of mine travel there all the time) and we've been to Key West and absolutely loved it. :)

And... Fort Lauderdale is great! We've stayed in a hotel that was beach front, ate at Bubba Gump and H2O Café. It was awesome.

Kelly’s Landing got a thumbs up from us. Lots of hotels and restaurants close to the cruise port. There’s a TJ Maxx and a Ross in the area in case you’ve forgotten some clothes (or the airline has forgotten your clothes).

For travel, the port is a quick taxi/Uber/Lyft ride away.
